Authorities sifting through the wreckage Saturday of a small plane that crashed into a high school in eastern Arizona found four bodies inside the aircraft.
Officials had previously thought only two people were aboard the single-engine Piper that crashed Friday into a building at Round Valley High School in Eagar.
Apache County sheriff's Sgt. Richard Guinn says officials were working to identify the bodies.
Guinn says no one was in the building during the crash.
Witnesses reported the craft circled the area before it nose-dived into a building and exploded.
Calls to Federal Aviation Administration and National Transportation Safety Board officials at the scene weren't immediately returned Saturday.

BREAKING - Plane crashes into Round Valley (E. AZ) High School and explodes
Don’t know
Nobody is missing any of the four souls on the plane?
I wonder what was actually said and meant. We usually understand "circling the area" to imply multiple circuits, in the manner of surveillance. However, if the plane was attempting to return to the airport after takeoff, which seems a likely scenario, it might have been described as "flying in a circle" or some such.
State Treasurer was at high school hit by plane
State Treasurer Dean Martin was at a high school in Eager for a forest tour in the area when a small airplane crashed into the school.
A news release from Martins campaign for Governor said he was not hurt, but didnt provide other details about the aircraft, pilot or passengers, circumstance of the flight and crash, or who else was at the school at the time.
How do you say Tora, Tora, Tora in mexican...
Toro, Toro, Toro?
After over a day, you'd think someone would notice they hadn't showed up wherever they were heading, and then put that together with the reports of the crash.
But I can't believe they haven't at least figured out who the plane was registered to.

As of late Saturday, they had still not pulled the bodies from the remains of the aircraft. They have exact model of the aircraft though, so I still can’t see why no ID on the owner, if not the pilot.
NTSB to have either press release or conference about 12:30 local (12:30 PDT, 13:30 MDT, 14:30 CDT, 15:30 EDT)
El tigre, el tigre, el tigre!!!
And the Springerville airstrip knows nothing about this departure.
I sincerely hope these guys were runners so Jan can say ‘See? How they get past security and crash into our schools? See just how entrenched they are?’
