“Asked if Sierra Club has any concerns about the administration’s response to the spill, Willett said, “Overall, we’re satisfied with the cleanup and recovery effort.”

Of course these dimwits are providing cover for the “one.”

Not unlike the feminists groups that can be counted on to excoriate Republicans for the smallest of things, but are willing to give Dems a pass for egregious behaviors.

Several analysts said the low profile of the large environmental groups since the disaster is due in large part to uncertainty about the impact of the spill on the strategy for passing pending climate legislation. Environmental groups are leery of alienating Obama as he weighs how hard to push a sweeping cap-and-trade energy bill to rein in carbon emissions blamed for global warming.

PING!

Environmentalists - a bunch of clowns and liars who control the Congress.

Perhaps it's because it's not just about the environment with some of these people. Isn't it Rush who says the environmental movement has become the last holdout of the extreme left (i.e. communists and socialists) and that it's true color is red and not green.

I do believe there are a lot of everyday well-meaning people out there who honestly seek to be good stewards of what God has given us. But, there are also those who use concern for the environment as a means of taking away freedoms and taking more money and power for themselves. All one has to do is compare the environmental record of any communist nation to that of the United States and one will see we have a stellar track record in comparison.

The environmentalists have been bought off by the world’s largest investor in deep drilling, George Soros.

These guys are so beholden to this administration to move their agenda that I think they’re unwilling to criticize them.

Just like the feminists gave Clinton a pass when he took advantage of a young woman of a much lower rank.....

.....The enviro-Mental movement gives Zero and the EPA a pass for sitting on their hands and letting an epic oil spill spread.

The Left is not truly interested in their stated agenda, they are interested in having dictatorial power over the rest of us.

I regularly go to treehugger.com. They have some cool technical information, but mostly for the “know thy enemy” info.
Interesting thing is O’bambi is rarely mentioned in regards to the oil spill. This may change over time, but I think these people are part of the solid 24 percent that strongly approve.

Obama to POLITICO: GOP shares the blame for spill
politico.com ^ | June 12, 2010 | Roger Simon

President Barack Obama said Friday that some members of Congress should share the blame for the Gulf of Mexico oil spill.

In an interview with POLITICO, the president said: “I think it’s fair to say, if six months ago, before this spill had happened, I had gone up to Congress and I had said we need to crack down a lot harder on oil companies and we need to spend more money on technology to respond in case of a catastrophic spill, there are folks up there, who will not be named, who would have said this is classic, big-government overregulation and wasteful spending.”

The president also implied that anti-big government types such as Tea Party activists were being hypocritical on the issue.

“Some of the same folks who have been hollering and saying ‘do something’ are the same folks who, just two or three months ago, were suggesting that government needs to stop doing so much,” Obama said. “Some of the same people who are saying the president needs to show leadership and solve this problem are some of the same folks who, just a few months ago, were saying this guy is trying to engineer a takeover of our society through the federal government that is going to restrict our freedoms.”

As many others have said, this should completely expose the environmental movement as nothing more than a political operation funded, subsidized and protected by the federal government. Environmentalists care more about the end of capitalism than the protection of the earth, animals and plants.

Their silence is deafening because it screams all you need to know about their goals - advancing the politics of progressive liberalism. Clinton/Lewinsky exposed the feminists and Obama/BP has exposed the environmentalists. Let's hope the resulting backlash on their movements is the same.
