The Obama Administration is under political pressure to reverse its ill-considered deep water drilling moratorium, and the latest blowback comes from seven angry experts from the National Academy of Engineering who say their views were distorted to justify the ban.
In the wake of the oil spill, President Obama asked Interior Secretary Ken Salazar to produce a report on new drilling safety recommendations. Then on May 27 Mr. Obama announced a six-month deep water drilling ban, justifying it on the basis of Mr. Salazar's report, a top recommendation of which was the moratorium. To lend an air of technical authority, the report noted: "The recommendations contained in this report have been peer-reviewed by seven experts identified by the National Academy of Engineering." That would be false, sir. In a scathing statement this week, the seven experts explained that the report draft they had reviewed did not include a six-month drilling moratorium. That was added only after they signed off. "The Secretary should be free to recommend whatever he thinks is correct, but he should not be free to use our names to justify his political decisions," wrote the seven in a letter to Gulf Coast politicians.

Sounds to me that someone issued a false report. I false document submitted to the government is considered a violation of the false statement statute, a felony.
Ping.
The government lied......Oh the Horror. Save the women and children.....

I am sure that Eric Holder, the AG, will start an investigation of this potential felony tomorrow.
No, they ignored the recommendations of the report to not put a ban in placed.
Obama lies? No when did that happen.
Next time America try to elect an American.
Did his lips move?
If it is, the public will continue to compare and contrast the behaviors of the 2 Presidents who handled their crises and the former should come out smelling like a rose.
Its just one of them there mistakes they keep making. Done all the time even.
There is the problem right there Salazar is dumber that a bag of hammers.
Why Obama Gave Billions To Brazil For Oil Drilling
http://yidwithlid.blogspot.com/2009/09/why-obama-gave-billions-to-brazil-for.html
Last month there was much criticism over the fact that President Obama agreed to give Brazilian Owned Oil Company Petrobras up to $10 Billion Dollars to look for Oil off the Brazil Coast. This was especially disturbing when you consider that they Administration objects to the US Drilling off its own coast, which will work toward keeping the price of oil low and help wean us off foreign oil.
Why would the POTUS pay for a foreign country to drill for oil but object to his own country taking advantage of his own country’s resources? Payback.
Last week Hot Air discovered that “coincidentally” just a few days before the announcement of the US Oil Exploration Aid, Friend of Barack, George Soros, set himself up to make a lot more money from Brazilian Oil Exploration..
NICE! Making money on the spread, and putting himself in a position to make more money from higher dividends just before all the big bucks “donation” from President Obama. Soros must be master of the deal or Obama is the master of the quid quo pro.

obama is trying to deflect blame from himself by shifting it ALL to BP. This is a shakedown and the Republicans are useless. obama does whatever he wants because no one is calling him out. I don’t care what f’in color he is. He needs to be impeached. His entire administration is blatantly corrupt. Someone in the house or senate better step up or the people will.
