Rush Limbaugh and Sir Elton John's relationship started with problems. Heart problems, that is.
According to conservative talk radio host Mark Levin, a guest at Limbaugh's wedding last weekend, Limbaugh and John were staying at the same hotel in Hawaii when Limbaugh had his heart attack scare earlier this year. John checked up on Limbaugh to see how he was doing, and from there, a friendship formed.
"As Elton John explained it to the 400 or so people there, he and Rush have kept up a fairly regular e-mail exchange," Levin said on his show Tuesday.
He called John "gracious and superb," and mentioned the heat John is receiving from the Left for his relationship with Limbaugh.

Personally, I don't like it when someone tries to force something on me that I am really uncomfortable with. These two couples are very good friends of mine and I appreciate their respect.
There is a LOT of buyer's remorse going on....
I don’t think you start frequenting the same places they do. You live your life and come together in neutral places where you can have a healthy relationship, sans the verboten practices.
Jesus did have contact with what were considered to be terrible sinners in his day. He didn’t adopt their ways, and in fact got at least some of them to adopt His.
Even the evil should have some contact with the good. Otherwise witnessing opportunities are lost.
Jesus forgave the murderer on the cross. I think there are lessons in the remembrances of Christ’s life.
You can bet Elton is taking a lot more heat for this than Rush is.
I can understand that. It’s pretty much the way I look at it.
Good thoughts IMO...
Is Scalia in charge of waking her up during hearings?
I disagree, a real man would hate to miss the chance.
Good thoughts IMO...
Reminds me of an old Moon Mullins cartoon.
"Oh that man is so smart!
What did he say?
Not much, but he agreed with everything I said.
Sadly, there’s a grain of truth in that for every compliment here. Ain’t it the truth... ;-)
If you agree with me, I’ll agree to give you a compliment. Okay?
Har...
Still, I do try to reinforce good comments because I want folks to see others agreeing. We’ll have to take that sort of thing for what it is.
If you like loud, annoying, shrill women with manly features and no shape.
Agreed. I do it all the time, except I usually tell them they’re brilliant.
RE: “OMG! Elton John checked up on Rch after his heart attack at the hotel? Thats class and dignity! GOOD ON YOU JOHN”

There is some question still as to whether or not Rush had a heart attack. I’ve heard no from the get-go but lately a few comments tend toward ‘yes.’ Which is it? Heart attack or just a scare?
Either way, it was nice of Elton John to go check on him.
I like his music, don’t care for his politics, but I never knew if his politics affected his personal life or his treatement of others in a bad way (as it does with most liberlas)
It was nice thing to do. MANY liberals would have stood outside his door laughing or praying for his death.
Elton and Bernie Taupin are geniuses. Elton John, IMHO, is as good a person as you are going to find. Generous and compassionate, and actually willing to take you at face value until he finds out you’re an idiot.
I’m not surprised in the least that he and Rush hit it off. I’m quite sure Rush had to promise Elton that he wouldn’t sing at his wedding, should there ever be one.
He did a duet with Lady Gaga. Went the entire nine yards, with costume and greasepaint. Did not have to. Had to be among the top five moments of that girls life.
That's because he is afraid she will hit him with her purse.
One of Elton’s oldest closest friends is Caleb Quaye— considered one of the best guitarists around in the 70’s and 80’s. He was saved in the early 80’s and is now the head of worship ministries for the Foursquare Church.
I met him recently and we talked a little about his relationship with Elton. He’s in regular contact with Elton and is probably one of the only Christians Elton knows.

Who knew she cared so much about the little things in life
TT
Cool! I’m a fan of Quaye’s guitar playing, and thought he complemented Davey Johnstone’s style well.
It is my understanding that not only was Quaye saved in the early 80’s, but he had a Pauline conversion experience.
Thanks for the mention. I read the interview at the link. It was moving.
God/Jesus/the Holy Spirit work in mysterious ways doesn’t they.
