HEARING WILL NOT PROCEED ON JUNE 11, 2010
Washington, D.C., June 9, 2010. Saying that the Army has made it “impossible for me to present a defense” at the Article 32 “preliminary hearing” previously scheduled for June 11, 2010, Lt. Colonel Terrence Lakin has officially waived –cancelled—that proceeding. Therefore, the case will move inexorably on to a General Court Martial. The punishment for the charges filed against LTC Lakin carry a maximum term of four years in the penitentiary. Lakin expects the trial to be held in the early fall, but this has yet to be determined. The next step will be the formal referral of the charges by Lakin’s Commanding General, Major General Carla Hawley-Bowland, followed by his arraignment before a Military Judge, both of which are expected before the end of June.
Lakin, through his legal defense team, requested the testimony of Dr. Chiyome Fukino of the Hawaii Dept. of Health, and all of that agency’s records that exist concerning the president’s birth. Lakin had also requested the testimony of the custodians of records of, and the records relating to Obama’s admission and financial aid that exist, of the Punahou School, Occidental College, Columbia University and Harvard Law School. All these requests were also summarily denied, leaving Lakin without any ability to mount a defense at the hearing. However, in that this hearing was preliminary in nature in the first place, Lakin will renew his requests to the Military Judge at the appropriate time.
Lakin also released a new 5-minute video on Youtube explaining why he believes there are reasonable arguments that President Obama is Constitutionally ineligible to serve as Commander-in-Chief. The video can be viewed at http://www.safeguardourconstitution.com/video2.html.

But he feels he did..whether we agree or not is not the issue...he believes he has. If he didn’t think so, he would not be ignoring this issue (The President that is).

Speaking up and acting on behalf of the Constitution is just so suicidal and useless. Not only should no one do it, just to be safe we should all criticize anyone who does.

I believe he will loose his case in the military courts. I believe LTC Lakin believes that as well.
I don't believe the military courts can answer weather someone born a subject to the crown of her majesty the Queen of England is a natural born citizen of the U.S.
IMO, Lakin and his civilian attorney seek to get his cause to SCOTUS for such a determination.
I'm convinced we will all have our poor choices to make in the next several years. Unfortunately, I'm feeling like a frog placed in cold water, only right now the water is no longer cold, so I don't need to jump out just yet, right? When do I get uncomfortable and jump out? Wish I knew and I hope I don't just end up as a boiled frog. For LTC Lakin, he has made his brave decision.
The difference being, there was no doubt Bush was a natural born citizen (& therefore Constitutionally eligible to be POTUS) and there is plenty of doubt that Barry is not a NBC.

Barack Hussein Obama is a lawyer. What he has done with his birth records is plead the 5th! He reserves the right to not incriminate himself in a crime. Constitutionally he knows he is ineligible to be President of the United States and refuses to release the documents that would incriminate himself in a crime.

It is so sad that the military leaders are such political cowards. Any military judge with a pair, including women, would rule the guy can have what he needs for his defense. And sadly, if this guy goes to prison ..... he’ll be forgotten.

How quickly they forget: The lefties did try to discredit Bush and he released ALL his records that were requested which goes to show that if there is nothing to hide then full disclosure is not a problem. Evidently Obama has a problem, but it's not his fault, it's Bush's Fault!

He will get as much respect from our military leaders as Michael New did.
Our military has my deepest respect, but our senior military leadership only almost universally worthy of the highest contempt. All this officer will do is force other officers to identify themselves as the cowards they are.
That can only happen IF Buckwheat doesn't cancel the election(s) due to some emergency.
