Washington (CNN) - Public anguish over the growing oil disaster in the Gulf of Mexico took center stage on Capitol Hill on Wednesday as a woman dumped oil on herself during a Senate hearing in order to push for legislation lifting oil companies' current liability cap.
"We're tired of the bailouts and we're tired of being dumped on in the Gulf," protester Diane Wilson yelled during the start of a Senate Energy and Natural Resources Committee hearing.
Wilson, who was arrested, described herself as a fourth-generation shrimper from the Gulf. She interrupted opening remarks by Alaska Sen. Lisa Murkowski, one of several Republicans who have expressed opposition to lifting the $75 million cap.

I have a better idea....
Hold her responsible for the drilling we need to have done.
Anything she uses that she derives from crude oil must be seized. She is a consumer of oil products and holds “no standing.”
She has every option available to her to make other choices for her needs.

An antidote, for those who nonetheless enjoy viewing oiled-up women.
Yep... that will certainly help to fix everything. What a dork.
Excellent antidote, sir. Your service to FR is much appreciated. :-)
An orchestrated demonstration for sure. No way our brave congress would have such lax security one could get in there with such a device unless it was cleared.
you can count on CNN to do their master bidding and promote this story WITHOUT asking:
How did this woman get to Washington? (who funded her trip)
How did she get into the hearing with a container of oil?
What is her connection to the Democrap party?
3 things I bet she won't need anyway.
So, like she spilled ~more~ oil?
The lefty’s are going bonkers and they are in power. Wait till they lose all that power again....
Kinda defeats her whole argument.
Perhaps the oil covered the smell of her BO! ;-)
Just trying to support the petroleum industry. ;-)
How the h*ll did she get any liquid into a hearing? Do they not search for liquids as in ones that are flamable and or could expplode? I think some democrat had their hand in allowing this person in?
I have a match for you. My dogs a$$ and Obamalamadingdongs face. *Drum roll and cymbal crash*
I volunteer to help clean the oil off of this poor creature. I’ll work all day and night if I have to. It’s my civic duty.
You are a good man. Press photographers and celebrities should be flocking to you soon to aid you in your endeavor.
Mama warned me about dirty women.
