Former Hewlett-Packard Chief Executive Carly Fiorina will be the Republican Party nominee in the November race against Democratic incumbent U.S. Sen. Barbara Boxer.

Fiorina was the top vote-getter in Tuesday's primary election in a Republican field that included former Rep. Tom Campbell and conservative Assemblyman Chuck DeVore (R-Irvine). ..............."

Well, I am one of those who are stuck having to support Fiorina so as to get rid of Boxer. Lesser of evils. It is not like I have a choice.

I am clearly aware tht Fiorina is a RINO. I have no illusions that she is going to be any help whatsoever to conservative Republicans in the Senate. This is Scott Brown II.

But I will take a RINO Senator from a liberal state like Calfifornia over a communist like Boxer every time. Fiorina at this point is a good thing. Not the best thing mind you, but a good thing. She occupies a Senate seat that a far-left Marxist would otherwise occupy and she helps to create a Republican Senate majority, the usefulness is self-explanatory.

So while I did not want Fiorina, wihle I know she is a RINO, I will gladly vote for her in November with the hope of getting rid of communist Boxer and moving the Senate in the diection of Republican majority, with an eye toward replealing Obamacare eventually, either with a veto proof majority or with a Republican president who signs the bill overturning Obamacare.

I’m not duped into voting for Fiorina. I’m stuck with her.

Improving California’s representation in the Senate is NOT a “hold-your-nose” task. Sorry to tell you that DeVore would NEVER have won the seat. With Carly, we stand a chance to kick Boxer out.

That, my FRiend, is one hell of an improvement.

No, it isn't -- but I happen to (mildly) disagree.

We should do to the Dems what they have done to us:

CONSERVATIVES in red states.

DINOs in blue states.

Cheers!

I would have loved to see Devore take off in the polls but he didn't. He should have been smart and withdrawn when the handwriting was on the wall so to conserve his political strength instead of losing in such a public fashion. Just his inability to do that simple politics 101 showed he was not ready for the job.

The campaigns need to at least reword this talking point. Every time someone posts exactly the same thing, y'all look like you're just reading from the same prayer book.

Where can ya find good help these days?

Gosh, I do remember a candidate who was stupid enough to run for nomination against an incumbent of his own party and took a whooping. He just kept right on plugging too... what was his name???

Oh, yeah, Ronald Wilson Reagan. Yeah, what a loser! /s

Reagan was never stuck, not growing his campaign nor attracting new supporters. his message grew. Devore never managed to connect there is a big difference and I'm sorry you are too partisan to see that difference.

Thanks for the quotes, I wish I had them before the election.

I saw Fiorina at a globalist conference on television several years back. She spoke of a global aristocracy (people like her) and the serf like villages where the workers would be housed.

It literally made me ill.

Devore never managed to connect

DeVore's campaign (please spell his name correctly) was stillborn due to Sarah Palin's endorsement. The second nail in the coffin was the pro-life endorsement (which, frankly, should cause an exodus within that organization should her history on that issue become more public; I'd bet there was a payoff). Further, her positions have been, in general, completely dishonest, which takes time and money to undo, of which DeVore (again, please spell his name correctly) had neither. Effectively, the RINOs have learned the Democrat flair for dishonesty: 'Lie, lie early, lie big, the mediots will give us cover against a conservative.'

Once Fiorina was out of the gate, the campaign was all uphill with an early primary fighting that ancient RINO canard, "He (she) can win." Boxer is so ruthless she will eat Fiorina for breakfast. I really don't see that big a difference between an incompetent globalist RINO and an idiot leftist anyway.

I'm sorry you are too partisan to see that difference.

so now you want to blame Palin for the fact that devore failed?

Ok there. Devore’s campaign failed because he didn't connect, couldn't raise enough money and did not get his campaign off the ground floor. People saw him unable to get himself out of the 16% support area so they chose to place their bets are someone else. devore’s failure was no one’s fault but devore’s and his campaign staff's.

Next you will be like Obama and blame it on bush.

I like the way you think, but DINOs still leave Pelosi and Reid in control of their majorities in the House and Senate. I’ll take the RINOs along with recapturing both houses of Congress and the resulting control of the committees, control on SCOTUS votes, etc.

We can get our way with Conservatives in the conservative states and RINOs in liberal states like California. Holding the line against RINOs in liberal states will only result in handing those state Senate and House positions to Marxists and Socialists.

I assure you, if we have NO Republican representatives from socialist blue states and the Democrats hold them all, you will never see a Republican majority in the House or Senate again.

The big picture is to elect true Conservatives in conservative states, get as many RINOs as you can from socialist states, obtain a majority in the House and Senate, and over-turn Obamacare, stop cap and tax, stop amnesty, etc.

I didn’t know that but I am hardly surprised. Boxer is capable of some ludicrous comments.

I'm sorry, I guess I wasn't clear enough.

The present order is ...

We get conservatives in solid red states.

The Dems get Marxists in solid blue states.

The Dems get liberals in red or purple states.

The GOP gets RINOS in red or purple states.

I want it to change to:

The Dems get DINOS in solid blue states.

The Dems get DINOS or defeated in red or purple states.

The GOP gets right-of-center centrists in purple states.

The GOP gets true conservatives (social AND fiscal) in red states.

Cheers!

She didn’t ‘win’ it, she bought it.

Who needs another billionaire globalist in the government? Certainly not the American citizen, nor our tattered and nearly dead US Constitution.

“BTW how many highly motivated conservative republicans do you think are out there waving signs at rallies over the past year?”

“Far less than 18% I’d guess.”

By our freedom loving nature, most Conservatives / Republicans are loners...going our own way......and are as hard to organize, or act in concert as the proverbial cat herd. Wave a banner or protest time? Not me! I have a business to run a family to feed, and a life of Freedom to lead!....LOLOLOLOL

For the political Right the grassroots Tea Party Movement is way out of it’s comfort zone, even if a lot of them are there in spirit. Personally I hope there remains a continuing Tea Party Movement....uncorupted by those that will try to use it for their own political advancement.....

The zombies of the Left have no such problem, as most desire to act in concert with others and under the guidence of their god-like all seeing, all knowing leaders. They have plenty of time to paint signs, organize rallies, and protest. It’s their whole life!....LOLOLOLOL

“This is also first time she has been challenged by a Republican with name recognition and MONEY!!!!!!!!”

You are a keen observer of the political scene!

The left will be dumnping a lot of dough in California to prop up Boxer and counter the Fiorina challenge.....money that they would not normally need to spend here.......that is a good thing because it drain money from other Democrat campaigns nationally......

Carly needs to be up to the task of a knock down drag out mud wrestling fight! (and to think people pay to see such events that we can watch nightly on our TV sets...LOLOLOL)

My initial impression is that Carly will act and fight in a professional and ladylike manner.....She needs to talk to Meg Whitman and learn how to sling mud with force while keeping up that appearance........LOLOLOLOL

” I will continue to support those most closely reflecting my values, and urge others to do the same.”

I applaud you! That’s exactly what primaries are for....Saaalute!

Now we are in the general election and need to get behind the Candidate on the Right....Republican Carly Fiorina...with one purpose in mind Dump Boxer, and replace her with someone that has ideas more closely related to our own....

The whole purpose of this coming up general election is to rid ourselves of the Democrat Boxer who so poorly represents us and our fellow citizens, and is a open sore on the national political scene.

You bet troll. That ignorant twit has now proven that she's in fact either a shill or a witless dupe.

Next you will be like Obama and blame it on bush.

Bush gave us Parsky. Parsky ruined the CAGOP, both in terms of raising money and by foisting Arnold. Arnold chased countless conservatives out of state. Why was he elected? "He can win." We'd have been better off keeping and beating him with a conservative. With Arnold in charge of the CAGOP, there has been no party money for a conservative candidate ever since. So, as it turns out, yes, Georgie boy had his part in this debacle too.
