You forgot the list of left wing millionaires that bought stock last November in the company the produces the dispersant used in the cleanup....Follow the money Indeed!

I believe I read it was Warren Buffett who bought the company that makes oil dispersants. And Buffett is a big Obama supporter.

Sounds like the MSM trying to help Obama out.

Not sure how this helps Obama out. Everyday we see a new connection between Obumbler and BP.

This drilling was snake bit from the start. The orginal attempt to drill this test well was started back in the Oct of 09 by another drilling platform. After three weeks of drilling gas got into the well causing a kick. Then two weeks later a hurricane damaged the drilling platform and it had to be towed in for repairs.

BP started drilling again in Jan. 2010 with another rig Deepwater Horizon. On Mar. 8th they had gas seeping back in the well. A measuring device was lower into the bore to attempt to determine what was happening. That device got stuck at 13,000 ft and had to be abandoned.

They cemented 2,000 ft of the bottom of the bore hole and resumed drilling again at an angle. They then encountered brittle rock which the mud crack and they lost a lot of mud. Finally they reached the reservior and now we see the out come of trying to secure the well during the final days.

I hardly think anyone in particular was sabotaging the propect but do think ineptness and cutting corners did play into the final outcome.

This is exactly the same story that was told within hours of the explosion. Not enough time to arrange it then.

"The BP official wanted workers to replace heavy mud, used to keep the well's pressure down, with lighter seawater to help speed a process that was costing an estimated $750,000 a day and was already running five weeks late, rig survivors told CNN.

BP won the argument, said Doug Brown, the rig's chief mechanic."

Well alrighty then. Obama wants to kick someone's ass, well he can start here. Just call chief mechanic Doug Brown and get the official's name.

"Safety was "almost used as a crutch by the company," Barron said. He said he was once scolded for standing on a bucket on the rig, yet the next day, Transocean ordered a crane to continue operating amid high winds, against its own policies. "It's like they used it against us -- the safety policies -- you know, to their advantage."

Sounds like management everywhere. Say one thing, do another. Although in this instance, management wasn't using safety as a crutch, but rather as a club.

The whole thing was a fluster cluck from the beginning and the government’s hands are far from clean in the matter. BP did some very stupid things to be sure but MMS did their share as well starting with their approval of an experimental design for a wildcat well in 5000 feet of water.

This will all come out, and when it does, I think some BP people are going to spend decades in prison. They ought to, if this is verified and things shape up the way they should as a result.

Well I guess we just found out what could happen if that were to take place then. Very concerning.

I’m not necessarily dubious. Look, from the VERY beginning when I found out BP gave tons of cash to Hussein, I have been of a mind that BOTH parties are to blame.

BP buddies up to Hussein, Hussein’s administration gave BP passes on safety and environmental requirements. Of course, NOW the people of BP are learning: Hussein will turn on them and eat them alive if necessary.

BIG PHARMA, another industry giant that made “friends” with Hussein in exchange for DeathCare reform, will find that out too. Hussein doesn’t care for them, he is USING them.

Hussein only makes temporary alliances with ANY industry or capitalist. Eventually, they will suffer the fate of all who try to make forge an alliance with a totalitarian crocodile: they’ll be devoured. Maybe they’ll be devoured last, but they’ll be devoured.

Sounds like the MSM trying to help Obama out.

I guess I'm behind on this one.

How does this accusation take the heat off of Obama?

Do you think he was directing drilling operations, or BP?

BP made a decision displace the mud with seawater after the unsatisfactory pressure test. That is the core mistake, on top of a lot of other bad calls, like using a tapered casing string, etc. A series of other things going wrong, like BOPs failing to function as intended, cascaded into the disaster.

If BP did in fact account for 97% of all OSHA violations, as some have claimed, you get my vote on that for sure.
