I am sure the loved ones of those lost to the ‘nuances of Dutch law’ would appreciate delay in closure and justice.
“Aruba is far safer than almost all other Caribbean islands”
Well that’s sure saying a lot.
There’s not much reason to discuss Aruba anymore. It’s history. Whatever should have happened there....will happen in Peru....and in the end...justice is done Peruvian-style.
” Aruba is far safer than almost all other Caribbean islands”
It certainly is now that another country did it’s work.
Tough stuff, Aruba. You obviously have ties to international human trafficking which extends deeply into your justice system.
And here I thought they’d have the decency to feel embarrassed. I thought wrong.
Unfortunately, another young woman has been murdered.
It’s even safer when Joran is out of the country or in a Peruvian jail.
Awwwwwwwww... poor widdle abused Aruba.... awwwwwwwwwww.....
No kidding. I've been to Jamaica. Never again.
No one else can afford to go there. Be happy for the business.
I'm unsure why any American would want to travel in the crime infested, drug riddled Caribbean; surely America has some beautiful beach resorts available???
“”Television has become addicted to melodramas about missing white middle-class women. But even by Laci Peterson standards, the Holloway coverage is being way overdone.” “
Yeah, well maybe if you had a court system that didn’t allow the parent of the suspect to get away with murder, you might have had so much unwelcome exposure.
Are you certain that this isn’t an old article from 2005 — I remember when there was a small ANTI-Beth demonstration in Aruba, this article seems very familiar.
You’re right. Sorry about that.
A tourist destination that covers for local residents who murder American tourists deserves to lose the business of American tourists. Perhaps Aruba needs to try and cultivate the Cuban and Venezuelan tourist trade. The Europeans too, for that matter, if they have any money left after the Euro ceases to be a credible currency.
The Cayman Islands are very nice.
I spent some time on Grand Cayman Island and found it to be quite safe. In fact many Americans live and work there.
Hey Aruba-—you molly coddled that psychopath of yours and now he’s killed 2 young women that we know of. Is Aruba partly to blame? You betchya-—now deal with it and take a lesson from Peru how to process a criminal.
