Blaming Obama for Not Being a God ('Leave Barak alone!' liberal barf alert)
Real Clear Politics ^ | 6/8/10 | Froma Harrop

Gulf Coast residents are supposedly mad at President Obama for not keeping the oil from threatening their beaches and marshes. We hear this in stereo -- from political opposition on the right and liberal pundits bored by the president's cerebral approach to problem-solving.

Stopping the waves is a job for Neptune, not a president. Obama cannot raise his trident and force the oil back into the hole. There are things he can do, but they're a lot less impressive.

Granted, Obama's early campaign for president cultivated a myth of his godlike powers. And some still seem to buy into the magic narrative. Columnist Maureen Dowd writes that "Barack Obama is a guy who is accustomed to having stuff go right for him." Sunday talk show panelists repeated this idea, followed by "and now look what's happening to him": A vast oil spill brings disaster in the gulf. Israel complicates Mideast diplomacy by killing would-be blockade breakers. The new job numbers are lousy.

With all due respect to colleagues, these things aren't happening to Obama. They are happening to the world. Obama's vaunted "good luck" was in campaign politics, a far smaller and more manageable stage than he's playing on today. There has never been a time in world history when stuff wasn't happening.

Lousiana can certainly blame him. They begged for help in funding those berm thingies that would have kept the oil off their shores, but Obama ignored their pleas.

Obama would rather play golf or go to a concert, then pretend to be a tough guy when he gets a question from the press he doesn't like.

So what happened to Rove’s Hurricane Steering Machine that was in the White House basement? Couldn’t it be used to swoosh the oil back away from the coasts?

The real problem is the Press set the bar for Republican Presidents that it can not be cleared with a ladder. Now that they have a demonic-rat as president they have lowered the bar to the point it now rests in a shallow trough and obama trips over the hole. The Press are now frantically building a bridge over the through. When it comes to the left, the Press will tolerate unspeakable levels of depravity or incompetence.

If Obama were a baseball pitcher he’d have been relieved in the first inning, sent to the showers and the shipped back to the minor leagues where he may or may not belong! He is AWOL - A**hole without Leadership

Blaming Obama for Not Being a God

Conservatives NEVER made the claim the Hussein had any special powers. In fact many like myself thought he is league with satan. It was the libs who made the outrageous claims, so now they want to lay it on us when he proves he's an incompetent, blithering idiot?

Blaming Obama for Not Being a God (’Leave Barak alone!’ liberal barf alert)

If anyone is “Blaming Obama for Not Being a G-d”, it’s mostly liberals.
On NPR this morning they had a report of a big gathering of liberals
(publishers, unionistas, etc.)
And they used terms like “disaster” to describe their opinion of
18 months of President Obama.
It was interesting that some of the liberals admitted they had got him
into office and over-estimated The Messiah.

(I just listen to NPR for opposition research!)
