Good Riddance Granholm, what a stupid woman.
Detroit Regional Chamber Mackinac Policy Conference ^ | 06/08/10 | Detroit Regional Chamber

Posted on 06/08/2010 7:16:22 AM PDT by jenk

"In her last appearance at the Mackinac Policy Conference as the leader of Michigan, Governor Granholm addressed attendees Friday morning at the Mackinac Policy Conference."

Watch this moronic, surprised idiot lecture us (thankfully someone edited this down to 6 minutes) on how poorly Michigan is doing and try to come up with solutions after killing the state for 8 years.

Michigan is leading in unemployment and has been for 4 years.

We don't need advanced batteries, nobody is going to buy those cars.

We don't need solar, wind because we will be rationing electricity when the wind doesn't blow and the sun don't shine.

We don't need tourism, because everyone is so damn depressed, we can't find a reason to welcome people into economic devastation.

We don't need the film industry, if fact, they are finding that they don't need us.

One less socialist in power. Of course, this being Michigan, we’ll see if the replacement is any better.

Actually it was the ineptness of the last Republican campaign that lost that election. But if you are trying to say that cripplecreek and I voted her in, you are already irritating me.

My favorite line was when she said the economy was changing, and that manufacturing was no longer the #1 employer, HEALTH CARE is.

Unless they are getting out of staters to get treatment in MI in large numbers, that is not exactly productive.

I didn’t vote for her.

The vast majority of Michigan governors have been republican.

A couple years back, Granholm was IN Japan when Honda announced that they were going to build a new US plant. A radio host asked if Granholm if she was going to meet with Honda officials to at least put in a “good word” for Michigan. She said no.

So what DO you need?

Or are you just peeing your pants because you have no constructive alternative?

Good Riddance Granholm, what a stupid woman.

Stupid AND DANGEROUS!!!

We don’t need the film industry, if fact, they are finding that
they don’t need us.

Heck, the film industry really does have a need for a post-apocalypse
urban hell-hole as a back drop.
And boy Detroit and some other MI locals fill the bill.

“The Fabulous Ruins of Detroit” website is an amazing visual record
of the city that used to be and the wreck it has become.

>”We don’t need tourism,”

Works for me. The fact that Michigan is a Leftist state, run by Leftists who were voted in by Leftists, was THE determining factor that caused me to pick states WEST of Michigan. (Wisconsin, you lost out on that pick also).

I may not have any influence with the way you vote, but you sure as heck aren’t gonna get my money to use to elect more criminals.

My one and only government job was international trade development for the State of Ohio so I can vouch for the fact that the Honda plant in Marysville, Ohio is there primarily because Gov. Jim Rhodes made an investment tour in Japan, met with Mr. Honda and the two of them hit it off like long lost brothers. After that the whole project moved like clockwork. Quite a lot of (successful) international business is based on personal relationships and trust.

Of course, considering we are talking about Granholm it may have been a leg up for Michigan that she didn't meet with Honda officials. Sending out a chief executive of a State who's an arrogant left wing nutcase bi*** is not exactly a strategy for success.

DeVos was beating her. His ideas were good and his campaign was good. What killed him was the debate - his speaking voice is less than commanding and Jenny turned on the ol’ actress charm and won the dufesses over. She didn’t have anything, she just came across better on stage, which is her training. Most Michiganders are egits. But not all of us.

say what? are you slow? if you don’t know what Granholm has been doing, don’t comment. Constructive alternative? How about reversing course on everything this marxist obamabot has been doing for 8 years. Sheesh, duh!

LOL. She’s kind of cute, but she simply doesn’t get it.

GOVERNMENT is the problem in Michigan. All she has to do is get GOVERNMENT out of the way. Instead of all these “smart” liberals sitting around devising schemes to recreate Michigan’s economy, how about this? Cut taxes. Make Michigan a tax haven. Eliminate programs. Reduce regulation. Streamline government.

People work harder when they’re actually permitted to keep what they earn, business grows when productivity isn’t taxed into oblivion, and citizens act more responsibly when government doesn’t coddle them. Even at this stage, Michigan could be revived if her leaders had the guts to do what’s necessary.
