Slate.com blogger Mickey Kaus, the challenger to U.S. Senator Barbara Boxer, gets credit for making the 2010 Democratic U.S. Senate race livelier, all right -- but how 'bout that Sunday New York Times story claiming Kaus has famously "knocked boots" with just about everyone in LA?
We don't know the definition in the Grey Lady newsroom, but -- ahem -- we can tell you what "knocking boots" means in the Bay Area (and the Urban Dictionary). And it ain't about the footwear.
Backstory: The New York Times' Style section print edition Sunday profiled the bachelor candidate, saying that "it's difficult to find a writer or politico in Los Angeles who hasn't knocked boots..with Kaus at a party.''
The online edition of the story has since been changed to read Kaus has....uh, "knocked elbows (or opinions)" with lots of people.

The Conservatives are the adults, but right now the children are in charge.
Of course it’s deliberate. Half the newsroom staff at the NY Times is gay.
I didn’t know that Lurch of the Adams Family had a twin brother.
Only half? You are far too kind. I dare say that they are all 100% faggots even if they aren’t gay
Not unless there are a lot of really fanatical Robert Klein fans out there ...
I disagree. Half of the staff may be homosexual, lesbian or some other varient. But I have never in my life encountered a gay homosexual.
i think they crossed up “locked horns” with “knocked boots”
