Liking his music is not an endorsement of his life.

But buying it and enabling his lifestyle is.

No it's not! If I buy an Elton John album it in no way enables his lifestyle. That's ridiculous.

One, it’s a free country. Limbaugh can spend his money however he wants. This is different from the government funding for gay and lesbians organisations.

Two, business is business. Limbaugh might actually *gasp* like him for his music.

Three, I wholeheartedly agree that Limbaugh shouldn’t be supporting sodomy. If you don’t like his decisions on how he spends his money, don’t watch Rush. I would like to hear his reasoning as to why he asked for Elton John.

No it isn’t. It is about rewarding a business based on performance. Simple capitalism. I need not agree with every (or any) choice he makes to acknowledge that he is a talented musician.

that rules out a lot of entertainers, artists, musicians, writers, poets, singers, painters, actors....um you get the point.

I'm sorry, but just because you don't agree with someone's lifestyle doesn't mean you can't enjoy their music, art, acting, etc. Personally I find if offensive that Rush takes his marriage vows so lightly he continues to get married. He makes vows before God and then breaks them. But that doesn't stop me from listening to him on the radio nor would it stop me from buying his books. I support his conservative thinking even though his lifestyle is an affront to my 25 years of faithfulness to one man in my marriage. Just sayin.

Uh, no. When I hire, say, an HVAC guy to come clean the ductwork in my house, I'm simply exchanging money for a service rendered. It's not a celebration of the HVAC tech's sexual preferences.

And buying a Big Mac at McDonald’s enables the kid who made it in the kitchen to go buy condoms and screw his underage girlfriend...so are you gonna boycott McDonald’s too?

Poor guys are gay too.

I hardly doubt buying Elton John’s music is “enabling his [gay] lifestyle”.

It is, however, enabling his lavish lifestyle but it doesn’t impact his sexuality one bit!
