PALM BEACH, Fla. (AP) What was Elton John doing at Rush Limbaugh's wedding?
John performed at the reception when Limbaugh married Kathryn Rogers in Palm Beach, Florida, on Saturday, according to the Palm Beach Post.
John has not made a statement on why he chose to perform for Limbaugh, in spite of the outcry from the gay community.
Some reports say John earned a million dollars for the gig.

Now I know you were fed the answers....This is bigger than Jim Thompson!
And I have class. /s
I wonder how many gays would turn down a million due to their political beliefs....I don’t think any would, they are just jealous he got a mil. to sing..
Oh brother. It’s none of your business either, but you still read the post.
Actually I think old has been celebrity guys marrying younger women is gross too. Larry whats his name and Hugh Hefner are about as gross as it gets. yuck.
You are posting on a web site with members you do not agree with, so I guess you, by your own logical conclusion, are endorsing their comments just like you say Rush liking Elton’s music and paying him to perform at his wedding is an endorsement of his homosexuality.
Really? I never saw it and have had a damn fine life.
You people place way too much emphasis on the unimportant.
You people need a lesson in reading comprehension.
I never said that Rush, or anybody else, can't do what they want to with their money.
I simply stated the obvious: that buying products or services from homo's, druggies, etc., enables their lifestyle.
You people that are engrossed in pop culture are simply in a state of denial.
“homos”?
Wow. So, if you’re in a car accident and the ER doc that stitches you back together happens to be gay, would you pay the hospital bill? I mean seriously. You’re probably supporting gay people all the time and have no idea. but I guess ignorance is bliss.
Do you have any idea how utterly stupid that statement is in context with the replies that I've posted?
Youre probably supporting gay people all the time and have no idea. but I guess ignorance is bliss.
More utter stupidity.
I'm assuming that since you post on FR that you claim to be a conservative. Nod your head if that's correct.
Now, being a good conservative, would you hire a libtard to give a speech at one of your conservative functions (this is a hypothetical) knowing that the money that you pay him will be used for his libtard agenda?
If the above makes any sense to you then you'll know where I stand. IOW, I exercise as much control over my money as is reasonable and that's all I can do.
Would I hire some fag to sing at my wedding? The answer is a resounding HELL NO!
But if Rush or you or anybody else wants to hire a homo to sing at your wedding and you sing along with him as he's singing a song that he wrote while daydreaming about smoking the sausage, then go right ahead on.
“You are posting on a web site with members you do not agree with, so I guess you, by your own logical conclusion, are endorsing their comments”
Good grief. Everyone thinks he’s good at thinking; 99 percent of everyone is wrong.
One of this site’s purposes is to allow people to debate ideas. Therefore, one logs on for the specific purpose of *not* endorsing all of everyone else’s ideas.
Well, stupid, music is for enjoying, not debating personal politics. Seems Rush utilized a musician properly, yet, you can’t think and understand the proper use of music and musicians.
You’re not nearly as smart and thoughtful as you believe, so try not to believe everything you think.
You people? That's funny. Define 'you people.'
Those of you that are wrapped up in pop culture.
You were probably looking for a more sinister reply but sorry to disappoint.
“Well, stupid”
What an intricate, yet subtle, use of informed reason. Truly, you have a dizzying intellect.
“music is for enjoying, not debating personal politics.”
If you can completely put aside the fact that a singer regularly practices loathesome perversions on minors and just listen to the music, well, then, one must suspect that your commitment to fighting evil is superficial at best.
“you cant think and understand the proper use of music and musicians.”
A musician is also a human being in the world, and celebrities have far too much influence in the West these days. It is an offense against both common sense and morality to allow a severely disordered man like Elton John to stand before youth as a role model.
“Youre not nearly as smart and thoughtful as you believe, so try not to believe everything you think.”
Here’s something for you to think about. Sir Arthur Conan Doyle wrote, “Mediocrity knows nothing better than itself.”
Jose just can’t figure out why his wife, who runs a community newspaper, would be on the undesirables list along with himself. lol.
Why, I’ll bet she would never DREAM of gathering and sharing info with her hubby at that Limbaugh friendly newspaper, The Palm Beach Post. /s
And buying a Big Mac at McDonald’s enables the kid who made it in the kitchen to go buy condoms and screw his underage girlfriend...so are you gonna boycott McDonald’s too?
I agree with your remark. Bravo.
