It seems to me that BP is going out of its way to keep producing from that well rather than permanently seal it. Maybe our government is in the way, I dunno, but I don’t really think the folks along the coast care how much is captured.

Getting 20,000 barrels from a well that BP said was only leaking 5,000 barrels. Impressive.
I do not see how BP can collect 20,000 bpd because the capacity of the container ship is only a little larger than 15,000 bpd. Perhaps someone can provide some insight about the limitations imposed by the capacity of the containment ship.
