President Barack Obama will host a “tele-town hall” at a Maryland senior center on Tuesday as Democrats work to boost support for the healthcare law in advance of the November congressional elections.
The event in Wheaton, Md., is timed to the first mailing of $250 rebate checks to senior citizens as part of the broad healthcare bill Obama signed in March. The rebates are aimed at closing the so-called “donut hole” which excludes many Medicare Part D recipients from full coverage of prescription drugs.

If it is to help close the donut hole then only those who got caught in that hole should get a check, and $250 is not near enough. A friend of mine got nailed for $1200 dollars.

Congress is a puppet. Perhaps you don’t realize we now live in a socialist nation where everything is decided at the top and a “representative body” automatically approves it.
Congress voted for it. They just didn't know it. It was somewhere in the 2300 page healthcare bill that nobody read.
The ‘donut hole’ doesn’t deny health care coverage to anyone. It is a free market / personal responsibility mechanism has is largely responsible for keeping this program from going over the edge.
People who can’t afford it get help. Everyone knows that leading into it, they should shepard their benefits wisely.

Ya know, sad to say, but it might work for the 90% demographic that’ll vote for him anyway...the blacks...but I really believe the elderly and the suburban whites are DONE drinking the Kool-Aid.

I need to do more research on it. I’m not sure where it actually is, maybe Leisure World, or the time. If at LW than I wouldn’t be able to get into the ‘compound’. Also need to check whether the One will be there physically or is everything being done over land lines.

Two years ago he did the same thing. One of people who stood in Olney with us who has now passed, says he got a Obama grill with his check.He thought it was fitting. One bought a gun with his. It was the same amount for 250 also. Will let Mr T know about this. It may be worth the time, just to P him off. He is so thin skinned.
