Van Der Sloot Faces 'Extremely Rude Awakening' in Peruvian Jail

Joran van der Sloot, the lone suspect in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba , faces an "extremely rude awakening" in Peru, where he has just been jailed as a suspect in the murder of a young Peruvian woman, a top international lawyer said today.

The 22-year-old once again is suspected of murder. "The conditions of incarceration at best will be overcrowded and uncomfortable, and more likely can be described as deplorable and intolerable," said Philadelphia-based defense attorney Theodore Simon, whose clients have included Ira Einhorn, who was extyradited from France to face murder charges; Alain Robert , the "French Spiderman" known for climbing skyscrapers; fight promoter Don King and Robert Durst, the heir to the New York real estate fortune.

"The most basic requirements will be in question -- and the basic services," he said. "So I think it's going to be an incredible shock to his system, the circumstances of his incarceration."

personally think that at best, Joran Van Der Sloot is guilty of negligent homicide in regard to the Natalee Holloway disappearance. Most likely he drugged her, had his way with her, and left her wandering around the beaches of Aruba before she met an untimely demise.

I think so too. You don't need to be Freud to fill in the blanks. He was too much of a pansy to admit what he did, accept the consequences and repent. Still, the guilt is eating at him. So he strings Greta along, does more evil, until at last he gets what he thinks he deserves. This is a sad tale for all concerned.

Apparently, his adventure in Thailand in late 2008 never landed Joran in any significant trouble. From the 11/12/2008 article:

Peter de Vries says, “The pictures show how little respect this 21-year-old has for the lives of others. The fact that he goes into the trafficking of women after the disappearance of Natalee is typical of him… Making preparations for people smuggling is a crime. It could land him into big problems in Thailand.”

.

He is the face and image of evil

Sometimes a random accident or “incident” can prevent serial sociopaths from advancing their hobbies

It also sends a strong hint to others

Something that will work very well against the cowardly Muzzies

"Personally, I think that there wer Human Traffickers who picked her up off the island and disappeared her into the sex slave trade in South America. "

That has been my theory all along. His involvement with sex slave trading in Thailand only lends more credibility to that scenario...

[He is the face and image of evil]]

Inside him. It certainly wasn’t obvious or he couldn’t have enticed all those young girls that he did.
God will be his judge in the end.

The authorities in Aruba were never able to produce any credible evidence that linked the suspects to Holloway's death.

I'm not sure what can be concluded about the so-called investigation in Aruba. It often seemed like solid leads were being dismissed and that no one was really all that serious about learning just what Joran's involvement might have been.

Does Van Der Sloot have a case of K-Y on order? Gee, I hope so.

He'll probably want to trade it for a case of Polygrip in a couple of weeks...

I think often that God expects people to take care of some little things by themselves

He has other things to do in distant places we will not even ever know about

Lol, if we don’t know about them, how do you know that?

He sees and knows all that each of us do, He is the final judge. But I don’t think He approves of us ‘offing’ people just because we would like to!

Furthermore, this guy was a teenager at the time of Holloway’s disappearance. As such, it is highly unlikely that he was able to pull off the perfect murder and leave no evidence

I work in the juvenile justice system and believe me, they are much smarter than you give them credit for. First of all, they will try things that you couldn’t even imagine, secondly, they will cover for each other until they themselves become implicated....then they sing. If the FBI had investigated the first of his murders, they would have nailed him in a heartbeat.

He’ll have to watch his back 24/7. An anglo/gringo (Dutch are to them) who killed a local girl....he will have big problems. It will be a matter of national honor to kill him in prison.

So were my wife and I. Particularly in the filthy underbelly of Bangkok
and Pattaya he “did business”, covering up a dead girl from upcountry
would not be too difficult — just require a relatively small amount
of cash.
