Van Der Sloot Faces 'Extremely Rude Awakening' in Peruvian Jail

Joran van der Sloot, the lone suspect in the disappearance of Alabama teen Natalee Holloway in Aruba , faces an "extremely rude awakening" in Peru, where he has just been jailed as a suspect in the murder of a young Peruvian woman, a top international lawyer said today.

The 22-year-old once again is suspected of murder. "The conditions of incarceration at best will be overcrowded and uncomfortable, and more likely can be described as deplorable and intolerable," said Philadelphia-based defense attorney Theodore Simon, whose clients have included Ira Einhorn, who was extyradited from France to face murder charges; Alain Robert , the "French Spiderman" known for climbing skyscrapers; fight promoter Don King and Robert Durst, the heir to the New York real estate fortune.

"The most basic requirements will be in question -- and the basic services," he said. "So I think it's going to be an incredible shock to his system, the circumstances of his incarceration."

If he did kill Holloway (I am not convinced he did), then he will at least get some justice in a prison in Peru.

The murdered girl’s father is one of the most powerful men in Peru. Joran is in for some very unpleasant “parties”.

He probably looks pretty good to some of his fellow prisoners, too.

If he didn’t kill Holloway, he admitted to selling her. This is a really bad guy with no conscience. I’m not a doctor but he maybe a sociopath.

I saw the first picture and couldn't help but think that each pair of underwear in the bars represented a rape.

By now, he wishes he had plead guilty to lesser charges in Aruba. Five years in a Dutch country club and out.

Now, decades in a hell hole.

Karma, isn’t it? Since his deceased father was a JUDGE and was able to pull strings.

Evidentally, the family had to bring in a child psychologist when Joran was young because he beat his dog to death --- maltreatment of animals by young children is a common distinguishing characteristic of psychopaths.

That Stephany was murdered on May 30 brings the possibility, mentioned by freeper 'Old Deck Hand' that it was a ritual murder for Joran; thus, authorities really should trace his travel and look at unsolved murders to see if this serial killer psychopath is implicated.
