There may be a huge break in the disappearance of Drew Peterson's fourth wife. TMZ has learned authorities believe they may know exactly where the body is buried, and then plan to dig for it tomorrow.
Law enforcement sources tell TMZ ... Peterson, an ex-cop who is currently behind bars awaiting trial for the murder of his third wife, told an inmate yesterday how he killed Stacy Peterson, wife number 4. Stacy's body has never been recovered

Jimmy Hoffa?
Jimmy Hoffa, Obama’s real birth certificate, Obama’s Columbia transcripts, Obama’s Yale transcripts, Obama’s pre-1995 papers in general, Clinton’s nose-candy dealer, etc. etc.......et cetera
Ex-cop confesses to jailhouse snitch?
Doubt it.
Seems unlikely. But, never under estimate the drive a sociopathic narcissist to brag about his exploits.
“Obamas Yale transcripts...”
You mean Harvard. Don’t insult a Haavaard man.
Investigators searched a muddy stretch of remote central Illinois Saturday for the remains of the fourth wife of Drew Peterson, the former suburban Chicago police officer awaiting trial for the murder of his previous spouse.
State police and other law enforcement agencies were searching rural land “thick with timber” near Peoria for signs of Stacy Peterson, said state police Master Sgt. Tom Burek.
Rains have reduced the land to a “muddy mess” meaning that parts are inaccessible by vehicle and investigators have had to comb the area on foot, Burek said.
He wouldn’t say when the search began or how large the search area is. He also wouldn’t confirm where the lead came from or how credible police thought it might be.
“We follow up on every lead,” he said.
Investigators have pursued several tips about Stacy Peterson’s disappearance over the years, including sending divers into murky Chicago-area waters.
Drew Peterson’s attorney, Joel Brodsky, called the most recent search “patently ridiculous.”
“Drew’s position from day one has always been that she ran off with another man, because that’s what she told him,” Brodsky said. “This is just another in a long line of unsubstantiated rumors about Drew Peterson, all of which have proved to be false.”

True, so very true...
“Ex-cop confesses to jailhouse snitch?
Doubt it.”
Yeah, that is pretty hard to swallow. If they find a body, it seems equally likely that it’s a body the snitch put there.
Doesn’t make any difference. It is doubtful he would really have made the grade at either without some sort of preferential treatment. Him or his wife.
Police digging for Stacy Peterson’s body near Peoria
“They must think it’s pretty credible ... they’re here,” State Police Master Sgt. Tom Burek said from near the digging site, which he described as a “very low remote area.”
“Obviously, because of the rain, it’s very muddy right now. It’s thick with timber. It’s a muddy mess out there,” Burek said.
Peoria County Coroner Johanna Ingersoll confirmed early Saturday, “There is a search underway for human remains.” However, added Ingersoll, “No human remains have been located at this point.”
“The tip did not come from an inmate at the jail,” said Will County Sheriff’s spokesman Pat Barry. “The people I’ve talked with have no knowledge of anything.”
“Drew couldn’t talk to somebody if he wanted to,” said his attorney, Joel Brodsky
Pam Bosco, a spokeswoman for Stacy Peterson’s family, also said several claims in TMZ.com’s story are not true. But Bosco said the family is “very hopeful at this point,” about today’s search, based on information the Illinois State Police has shared with the family.
State police haven’t given family details about the nature of the lead or where the tip came from, but “we’ve just been told it’s a very good lead and they’e very hopeful,” she said.

Following a new lead in the woman’s disappearance, authorities are searching for “human remains” in an area east of Peoria, Ill., the Chicago Sun-Times reported Saturday.
Sources reportedly told the newspaper that investigators, using dogs, searched a hunting ground east of Peoria on Friday and then returned Saturday to dig in a specific area.
Even if it’s Peterson’s wife? Seems to me that the odds of that are pretty low.
Hunting preserve? Bet it ain’t human.
Our sources say Peterson told the inmate he had an accomplice help him dispose of the body. The inmate then told authorities about his discussion with Peterson, which led them to the alleged accomplice. We’re told the accomplice informed Will County Sheriff’s officials and prosecutors that the body was buried just outside Peoria, Illinois.
Will County Sheriff’s deputies and prosecutors took the alleged accomplice to Peoria Friday, and the accomplice led them to private hunting grounds. The owner allowed authorities to enter his property and the accomplice then led them to the site where Stacy’s body was allegedly buried. The accomplice told authorities the body was stuffed in a metal drum that had been buried underground.
On Friday afternoon, authorities brought police dogs onto the property and we’re told the dogs immediately took them to the place where the witness said the body was buried. Authorities then put prongs in the soil and hit a mass below ground that could be the drum in question.

Police: Stacy Peterson Lead is "Credible"
How many women is Peterson suspected of killing?
TJ Burek with the Illinois State Police says investigators have been there since daybreak.
“Right now we’re not saying much about the lead. Everyone’s asking us if it’s credible. Is it credible? Well, we’re here,” Burek said.
Burek said investigators are meticulously going through the area but would not comment on the size of the area being searched.
I can’t keep all these missing wives stories straight. Who was found washed up on the beach, with her baby, in a plastic trash bag a few years back?
