KM 22?

Arizona is still part of the United States, or so I thought.

Yeah, but the peasants making their way up are used to the metric system. It's for the children.

This stretch of road was built during the Carter administration. Need I say more?

Somebody’s about to get their car blowed up.

BTW, didn’t it used to be Mile Marker, rather than Kilometer Marker?

It’s the only hiway in the U.S. that is marked with km, not miles. Needless to say, it goes to Mexico

It’s always been KM. It’s a PITA.

Why would there be a bomb there in the middle of nowhere? Strange!

Needless to say the markings were requested by Mexico and agreed to by Americans dressed with kneepads.

It was part of the Great Metric System Scare of the late ‘70’s. I was a DJ at a radio station at the time where the PD wanted us to just give the Celsius temperature, never Fahrenheit. All in an attempt to force the public to adopt the Metric System. It never worked.

Was that a lesson? No.

I believe the new route 1 in Delaware is measured in kilo.
It messes with the mind.
