Two illegal immigrants are now convicted murderers of a Houston police officer. They now face life in prison after a jury found them guilty Friday. It only took jurors about five hours to find 37-year-old Xiomara Mendez-Rosales and 42-year-old Andres Nava-Maldonado guilty of engaging in organized crime and felony murder. The family of fallen HPD officer Henry Canales were visibly, still emotional as they left the courtroom for a short break Friday afternoon.

This is a nightmare for law enforcement and their families and you have member of congress and the crook in the white house want to grant amnesty for these illegals.

I'll assume that the life sentences were provided because the two illegals were captured in Mexico and extradited to the US. Mexico refuses extradition if the accused are subject to capital punishment even if the crime is a capital offense.

I read the article and it is unclear as to whether these two actually killed Officer Canales or were merely present when he was killed. The article states that he was shot and killed by Roberto Carrillo, who was also killed. I would need more details to pass a judgment on these two. Apparently the jury had more details because they convicted them.

“The jurors went home around 3:30 Friday afternoon. They will return to court Monday morning to continue hearing testimony in the punishment phase.”

Yes. The cop who was murdered acted stupidly.

Seriously, why no death penalty?

“In the death,” or “in the murder/manslaughter?” Words mean things...

Two illegal immigrants are now convicted murderers of a Houston police officer.

Lies, lies, lies. It has to be because we have been told over and over and over, 'by our betters' -- THAT:

'Family Values Don't Stop At The Rio Grande'

'They are only doing the jobs (lazy) Americans refuse to do'

'They only come here to make a better life for themselves'

'They are all God's children'

Or this one that's been posted by the OBL trolls..

"They are 'hard working' and a very religious people with high morals and will make 'good conservatives'".

Round em ALL up and fill the Cattle Cars.
The 'Southern Express' leaves shortly.

That's my solution to the 'broken immigration' system.

Another illegal strikes again in Key West

Slaying victim, suspect had sex

Pablo Solano Jimenez, 27, allegedly beat Tracy Leigh Heshmaty, 37, to death with a large coral rock while both were arguing in the parking lot behind First State Bank on Simonton Street in the early morning hours of May 31.

U.S. Immigration and Customs Enforcement has placed a no bond order on Jimenez because he is allegedly in the United States illegally, Wilson said. Jimenez is a native of Mexico, Wilson said.

The Monroe County Public Defender's Office is representing Jimenez, but he has not yet been assigned a lawyer, according to Public Defender Trish Docherty.
