Repeal rush infuriates military leaders

A conservative military watchdog isn't surprised that the four highest ranking officers from each service branch were "furious" over the way Nancy Pelosi rammed through legislation to repeal the 1993 law that bans homosexuals from military service, while denying its pre-determined consequences.

Just before the Memorial Day break, Congress voted mostly along party lines in a 234-194 count, with 10 not voting, to repeal Section 654, Title 10, which has been mislabeled "don't ask, don't tell." This vote took place despite the fact that the lawmakers received letters from four military service chiefs who urged them not to do so. (See earlier story)

Elaine Donnelly, president of the Center for Military Readiness, says several sources have reported that the four leaders feel they were double-crossed.

Pelosi doesn’t care. She believes that the Military should be under her control. I think she’s going to find out different pretty soon.

There should be some resignations among the joint chiefs as they leave to run for public office and take this debate to the American people.

I have to say, others have said it and I’ve said it too...

The problem isn’t Pelosi and Obama and Reid. In a moral country none of them would be in public office. The problem is the moral rot that makes it possible for these people to get elected. The problem is the 51% who keep electing these people. The problem is the 49% who let the 51% educate their kids and entertain them and control their news and in so doing control the terms of the debate. Abdicate your responsibilities for a couple of decades and you’ll wake up one day to find yourself in the minority and your country in the hands of moral imbeciles like Reid, Pelosi, and the Obamists.

Regardless of how one may feel about gays in the military, doing a major social change like this one in the middle of two wars is just insane!! Even worse, it’s all for political purposes.

There is NO strategic value for our mission in doing this!

Exactly. They’re senior enough to retire by now, they can do one final service by resigning in protest. Once they’re private citizens the gov’t wouldn’t be able to shut them up, if they have the courage.

The problem is the 49% who let the 51% educate their kids and entertain them and control their news and in so doing control the terms of the debate.

For years now I have been posting that conservatives MUST MUST MUST work to shut down the government K-12 schools.

Simply by attending government schools, children learn that government has enormous police power to take money from their neighbor to pay for a service their parents want tuition-free! Well! ( Duh!) If government can take money from a neighbor to pay for free school, why not a thousand other socialist wants?

Also...All government schools are GODLESS! Simply by attending children learn to think GODLESSLY!

Government schools that teach children to be little socialists and to think godlessly, produce citizens who will vote for OBAMA. Government schools made Obama inevitable. And...Government schools leave children ill-prepared to fight back against a Marxist dominated and corrupted culture.

Government schools can not be reformed! They are the very essence of socialism and socialism can NOT be reformed.

Government schools were the wet dream of the Utopian Progressives of the mid-1800s. Utopian Progressives have **always** controlled teacher training and curriculum development. Government schools attract socialists, Marxists, and kiddie perverts like flies to cow dung.

Government K-12 schools made Obama inevitable!

Possible solution:

Conservatives should set up education foundations. The foundations would award grants to individual teachers who would open tuition-free one-room schools in their homes. The foundations would certify the teacher, test the students, and approve the curriculum.

The foundations would organize community sports, theater, music, and arts programs to break the monopoly that government now has on these youth activities.

The foundations would also organize the parents to lobby for the complete shut down of government K-12 education with MASSIVE tax cuts going to everyone.

No, I do not like the idea that the schools would be free but if conservative have any hope of breaking the government monopoly they must meet the price set by the government schools which is tuition-free.

Is it possible? Yes, of course it is!

Harvard has an endowment of 35 BILLION! Universities and colleges across the nation have endowments in the BILLIONS upon BILLIONS! Perhaps if government had never interfered in education in the mid-1800s, by now private K-12 education would be similarly endowed and no child in the U.S. would ever have a need to pay tuition.

^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^^

They could do two final things:

1) Demand that Obama prove that he is a natural born citizen.

2) Support LTC Lakin.

Resignations? From the Upper Ranks?

Well, they thought they could hold off this measure by having a yearly review.

They underestimated the desire of the Dems to satisfy their wealthy gay base and friends, military considerations be damned.

Double crossed is accurate. Bald faced Lying, likewise.

But as one British PM answered when asked what he feared most, “Events, my dear fellow, events”, events have a pesky way of overtaking whatever you may have been planning.

The world won’t wait. Game On, Obie.
