A sanitary napkin design on a soccer ball?

Obama being kicked around by people across the world. There’s some merit to that.

I don’t get it. The design that Time chose has never been a World Cup design, as far as I can tell.

True, but what better way to bring the world together than by celebrating the universal awesomeness that is Barack Obama? ;-)

I think paranoia is running rampant and people are seeing the boogyman everywhere. Other than the ball is 3 colors it doesn’t look anything like Obama’s logo.

That looks more like what the official O sign should be........

I think this one’s a bit of a stretch. They’re both round and have blue and read over a predominantly white background.
That’s it.
The World Cup ball also has green (lower right). My guess it’s a take-off on the Olympic rings.

Time needs to adopt that old Peggy March song as it's theme song:
I love him, I love him, I love him
And where he goes I'll follow, I'll follow, I'll follow
I will follow him, follow him wherever he may go
There isn't an ocean too deep
A mountain so high it can keep me away
I must follow him, ever since he touched my hand I knew
That near him I always must be
And nothing can keep him from me
He is my destiny
I love him, I love him, I love him
And where he goes I'll follow, I'll follow, I'll follow
He'll always be my true love, my true love, my true love
From now until forever, forever, forever

You can get a replica World cup Ball in your countries colors. I went to Dick’s sporting goods and saw a number of soccer balls and one that looked like the one on the cover of Time (France).
It’s time for people to chillax.

Yes it has. You can buy a replica match ball in your country colors. The one on Time resembles the French Ball. I almost bought one thinking it was the US’.

I agree. I don’t see any relation to the two.

The one in the front is the 2006 ball. The 2010 ball is called the "Jambulani." People can look it up.

With thanks to 1Rudeboy who pointed it out, the image of the World Cup ball I posted was actually of the 2006 ball. Here is the 2010 ball, which again bears no relation to the image on the Time cover.

What do you want to bet that our world citizen goes to the world cup? It is in his old neighborhood. Plus it’s another trip on the big blue plane.
To: governsleastgovernsbest
I said, “jambulani” hehehe.
