TRENTON — The month-long controversy over Gov. Chris Christie’s decision to replace Supreme Court Justice John Wallace took a new turn today.
Christie, who has faced a series of rebukes from critics who say the move jeopardizes the independence of the Judiciary, lost the services of a state advisory panel today after its members resigned in protest. Previous coverage:

The Governor has the right to appoint whom he pleases to the Supreme Court. He campaigned on not appointing or reappointing liberal judges, which this character was. Unlike his Republican predecessor, Christie Whitman (a childhood friend of the country club Bushes), he will not appoint or reappoint only far left liberals who make disastrous decisions for the taxpayers to the Court.
Now he can replace them, too. Or even better not replace them how show how useless they’ve been.
In the old days they'd just grab 'em and hang 'em. Today they are far more subtle ~ but let this be a lesson to the others in this country. They could be next!

However from a Govenor Christie character standpoint, I know this is good for New Jersey. I don’t live there, but have loved ones that do.

Well I like your scenario too. The reason I favor mine is because it infuriates liberals. They think we should care if a bunch of leftist, spoiled jurists walk off the job. I’ve found a show of vindictiveness satisfies them more than sangfroid, a la, ‘Hope they have a nice rest of the their lives.’
Iow, libs just really hate it when you smile sweetly and say something nice when they think the opposite is in order, at least in my experience. ;)

Another group of useless government appointed hacks, feeding fat off the tax payer . Who needs a “state advisory panel” who are probably Democratic Party partisans who were appointed by Democrats to push a far left political agenda?

Well, considering their ethics and character, if Democrats quit en masse, that would be hood riddance.
I bet members of the panel that resigned were among the judges that determined that Lautenberg could replace Torecelli on the ballot just weeks before the election in violation of the law.
Good on Christie.
