There's no other way to put it: in an MSNBC promo for an upcoming Chris Matthews special on "The Rise of The New Right," Matthews juxtaposes words and images to imply that the Tea Party seeks the violent overthrow of the government.
As images roll of camo-clad men shooting automatic weapons, Matthews proclaims in the voice-over: "the Tea Party is determined to take power."

Not yet, but surrender isn’t an option.
I'm just mentioning.
Soap box, ballot box, bullet box...
images roll of camo-clad men shooting automatic weapons
Did they infitrate the great freeper target shoot?
If they come to try to remove my weapons, they can have them one bullet at a time.
He's become such a joke.
I use to think he was OK, compared to others in the media. ...even with his Bush bashing.
But his man-love for the Marxist Socialist living in the White House has made him delusional and even pathetically more funny.
Like sand through an hour-glass, November will arrive on time!
Americans Don't Want European Socialism !!
I fly the New Bedford in front of my house every April 19, which happens to be my birthday. The neighbors always ask me whh I do and I sure do love to tell them.
This is typical liberal psychological projection. Yes, Chris and his lib buddies want to take power - they want a coup. So, they muddy the water by projecting it onto the Tea Party.
Hey, maybe Cuba and North Korea will send troops to help shield Washington.
Pissy Chrissy at it again!!!
First we’ll do it ‘by the book’ but if things look bad for the country, then we’ll get violent, Sissy.
From this thread:Mark Williams called Geraldos brothers segment a hit piece and he was right. Way to go Mark!!!!!
Tea Party Leader Gets Heated at Geraldo Over Way The Movement is Portrayed in the Media (Video)This right after Geraldo showed some video of David Koresh and McVey as if that is what the Tea Party people are like.
Mark Williams Chairman of the Tea Party Express blasts Geraldo over the way they are being portrayed in the media, Geraldo's opening question is "should there be anxiety about extremists in the tea parties?"..and it went downhill from there..(Video)
In a lot of ways Geraldo is worse than Matthews, Olbermann and Maddow (the boobsy twins), Ratigan etc because he has a show on what is called the conservative cable news channel.
Doesn’t the Dec. Of Independence say its OK if the Government is run by A$$HOLES!
This really pi$$es me off. If the ballot box suggests a violent over throw, Matthews is ready for the rubber room, unless he remembers the images of Black Panthers intimidating voters at a ballot box in Pennsylvania in the previous presidential election, then perhaps he has a valid point.
Don’t know about the Tea Party but I personally have not ruled it out......
Didn't the Reds and Socialists try something like this back in 1918, just after Finland had acquired their independence from Tsarist Russia?
I seem to recall that it didn't work out too well for the Reds....
