Giant sinkhole in Guatemala looks as if it goes to centre of the Earth

The sinkhole is a result of rainwater saturating the ground after tropical storm Agatha. The image is not a photoshop-job (see other angles of the sinkhole below) despite looking as if a giant hole had been punched in the Earth.

Holy crap is right! That seems to go right into an underground river or something that it can drain into.
Not gonna be easy to make that whole again, even with reinforcing the area, there is more "down" down there that can open up. Wonder how the neighbors to that hole feel?
