We have all read the reports about the Somali pirates taking merchant ships and oil tankers in the Gulf of Aden and now even Thai fishermen in the Indian Ocean to hold for ransom. Well it would seem that such pirate activity is something that could only happen in lawless places like Somalia. However, right here in America many citizens of this country are now under assault from pirates who are operating with virtual impunity as they steal cash and electronics from Americans just wanting to fish on Falcon Lake between the American and Mexican border.
All along America's Southern border, we are having to deal with the results of our inability to stem the flow of illegal immigration. From the ecological disaster created by illegals in the Sonoran desert, to the murder of an American rancher in Arizona, our Southern border is under assault from Mexico. Now there are even reports of how American fishermen are being stalked by pirates on an international Lake created by damming the the waters of the Rio Grande River.
In 1965 when the Falcon State Park opened up the reservoir for fishing there was never a second thought as to whether or not pirating would become an issue on the Lake. Fact is, for the last 45 years, anglers have been coming from all corners of the world to fish for record sized bass in what several Elite Pro Bass fishermen consider "the best bass fishing lake in the world," All these years anglers have fishing the waters of Falcon Lake with out trouble. Unfortunately, America does not have the kind of leadership it did in 1965 when they opened the Park to the public. Lately, the bass are not the only ones dodging danger and fearing for their lives.
The danger that I speak of is the one caused by the Mexican Governments inability to control the......

My guess is that thousands of Freepers who nhave not heard about this act of war by the Mexican drug lords, that the Mexican Government refuses to shut down.
My take is if we do not stop it now, then in 20 years America will be as much of a basket case as the tin horn dictatorships of South America.
Where is the MSM's reporting about this, and where is Obama's condemnation of it? I will not hold my breath for either to change.

Are there any brave Kentuckians that would like to give them Texans a hand
Obama is preparing a statement of condemnationnn as we speak - condemning Americans for selling those poor drug lords those awful guns.
“For anyone who has yet to hear about this story that broke on Friday. It needs to be repeated for those who have not yet seen it.”
No thanks to our communist propaganda arm of the government a.k.a., main stream media.
“What I want to know is how do you say “Aaarrrgh!” in Spanish?”
Ay, caramba!
“Where is the MSM’s reporting about this, and where is Obama’s condemnation of it?”
This will only happen when Americans stand up with a big show of force and take them out. The media and Bammy will be there in a jiffy to condemn them. And the DoJ will have them arrested and thrown in jail.
Time for some heavily armored and armed, home made Q boats to go out and have a little fun.
I would lean toward tossing a couple of thermite grenades into their boats.
Pirates plying the waves of Falcon Lake- Texas http://www.freerepublic.com/focus/news/2517170/posts?page=7#7
That’s too obvious! A Q-boat is a boat that is a normal looking vessel that looks like easy prey on the outside but on the inside there is heavy weaponry that can be deployed quickly. They were used in WWI and WWII with a fair amount of success against German U-boats.
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Q-ship
“Once the U-boat was vulnerable, the Q-ship’s panels would drop to reveal the deck guns, which would immediately open fire. At the same time, the White Ensign (Royal Navy flag) would be raised. With the element of surprise, a U-boat could be quickly overwhelmed.”
Just mount a pop-up Quad 50 to take care of this NarcoTrash.

No where in that story is there a video of the interview, nor even the mention about this Pro Bass fisherman.
All that story does is bring awareness of the pirates. Which is like telling us we have an problem at the border with illegal immigration, but never learning about the murder of Krentz at the hand of an illegal
So this is a totally different story because it is about an individual who gives a first hand account of being chased and barley getting away.
Which in and of itself makes the whole pirate issue even more problematic when it is personalized by an actual person who was effected.
Go to the link and you’ll see a video story you can view that does interview the fisherman in the story.
I never said it mentioned the PRO Brass fisherman. I’m glad it’s getting some attention.
But an M1 x 4 is so much more overwhelming! Why use one when you can have quadruple the fun?
I just did, no video at the site. Not even a mention of professional Bass Fisherman Richard Drake in the article.
Also, maybe I could find the video report if I followed a maze of ten sites that might bring me to it, but not where you stated nor in the report is Drake mentioned.
How are Freepers to know this if we send them on a wild goose chase, when this article has the video at the site where the link takes you directly to.
