CNN Turkey had video while one of the ships was boarded last night. The IDF soldiers landed via helecopter. It was peaceful right at the beginning, but shortly afterwards, some of the passengers tried to grab the commandos weapons. The soldiers seemed to be unprepared for the passengers trying to make a grab for their guns.

In my view these “activists” got exactly what the were looking for. They have been itching for an incident just like this on every single one of the previous attempts to run “humanitarian relief supplies” through the Israeli blockade.

There was no way for Israel to win on this no matter what happened, and in the view of these “activists” the best possible outcome was to produce some fresh martyrs. These people would bitch if you hung them with a new rope, so this incident is pure manna for Hamas. Unfortunately for the Israelis, they probably didn’t shoot the right “activists”, those being the ones who are planning and underwriting these “actions”.

Useful infidels...

The IDF should have fabricated a mini-homing torpedo for these contingencies. It would go for the propellers, and instead of expolosives it would unspool clouds of thin kevlar and wire lines to foul the props and stop the ships.

The IDF pioneered UAVs with mini missiles that only destroy one car without breaking windows across the street. You would think they would have had a technical answer for these ships, short of the FUBAR spectacle of boarding them with commandos, on film.

BBC Video

At :24, you can see an Israeli soldier being beaten with what appears to be an iron bar (the propaganda convoy was carrrying construction materials among other things.)

IDF: Gaza flotilla activists stole 2 handguns from soldiers

It's an old trick: Confront armed security forces with a murderous mob armed with improvised weapons (iron bars, boards, etc), then scream bloody murder when the security force use firearms to keep from being beaten or hacked to death. Many a soldier and policeman has been killed and mutilated over the years by mobs of savages because he hesitated to use gunfire to defend himself. Lethal force does not require guns and bombs, but it does merit a lethal response.

A case in point from Northern Ireland

According to the BBC, there were 600 people aboard the ship that was boarded. A mob that size could easily overwhelm a small boarding party if the latter refused to use their weapons, something the "activists" and their media shills were probably counting on.

Video from the raid. IDF can show this to the UN and tell them where to go. Try this on your local SWAT team or Coast Guard boarding team and see how long you live. I don’t see a problem with their use of force after this video.

The soldiers seemed to be unprepared for the passengers trying to make a grab for their guns.

Correction:

The red-diaper-doper INFILTRATORS were unprepared for the consequence of attempting to disarm and kill an Israeli commando, who was part of a well established blockade.

There, I fixed your sentence for you.

What I haven't heard yet is the CARGO on those ships. Is Israel bringing that flotilla into an Israeli port to inventory all of the cargo and all of the individuals on board. I doubt the Hamas people are smart enough to set a trap and have a whistle-clean manifest.

This probably choked off a sizable resupply of shoulder-fired rockets and other artillery. Didn’t significantly impact the amount of food or medical supplies for the bulk of the non-combatant Palestinian civilians, as none was going to be delivered to them anyway.

The Palestinian Authority is one of the most repressive regimes in the Middle East, and the supposed “compassionate” aid is used first to resupply the guerrilla warriors, then only when anything is left over, does any trickle out to the rest of the tormented folk living in that Arabic version of purgatory.

If Turkey ups the ante with warships and planes, as they most certainly will, then Israel should and must sink the entire flotilla.

Not a good Idea untill they want to commit suicide!!!
(Do you really want US planes attacking Israel?)

True but if this is true “The United Nations condemned violence against civilians in international waters” and this has happened in international waters Israel has a BIG problem.

This happened when these RDDB's tried to cross an established naval blockade.....I say established because I believe it's been in place since 2006 or 2007. So the "international waters" argument doesn't, um, hold any water. If the "international waters" argument had any basis the naval blockade would've been shut down years ago. I also don't think the blockade would be placed precariously just feet from international waters boundaries so as to make it that the Israelis would chase someone out into the international waters and etc. That just wouldn't make sense. It's just lib-islamophile-pansies making up lies to cover for other lib-islamophile-pansies.

Israel will certainly take a black eye from the terrorist-loving “global media” over this.

So what? It would cost them more to appease the media when the latter are hellbent on demonizing Israel in every possible way. The Israelis would be cooperating with their own destruction if they allow the routine lies and distortions of Israel’s enemies to control their actions.

Some might say that a small country surrounded by genocidal enemies cannot afford to defy world opinion. Well, “global media” and “world opinion” are not the same thing.
They probably were 20 or 30 years ago but the establishment media have lost much of their monopoly over public perception.

Sri Lanka, for example, gave the finger to “global media,” crushed the Tamil Tigers in a matter of weeks, and left the media and their terror-apologist allies to sputter in helpless rage.

I read last week that Israel was ready to act against this if it became necessary. Anyone paying attention knew there could be an altercation - including those idiots in DC. Maybe now they will understand that Israel means what it says - maybe pay better attention to the actual issues and not just BS words to blabber in front of cameras!!!

“....if this is true ‘The United Nations condemned violence against civilians in international waters” and this has happened in international waters Israel has a BIG problem.’

It is only a problem because the UN and the terrorist media shills will lie like dogs about the law of the sea. The US Coast Guard, for example, routinely stops and boards suspected drug smugglers and illegal immigrants on the high seas and all other national maritime forces do the same. The guiding principle is the plausibility of a threat to national interest or law. One difference is that a judicial warrant is not required for a search on the high seas.
