Joe McGinniss is wrong to move next door to Sarah Palin in Alaska in order to gather material for his book on her due out in 2011.
McGinniss is well known for pushing the envelope when it comes to his subjects.
His 1983 book on the Jeffrey MacDonald murder trial result ended in a lawsuit by MacDonald alleging he had been set up by McGinniss. There was an out of court settlement.
His next book on the Kennedy's brought similar reaction from that clan who felt that McGinniss had greatly altered the key facts.
Now Palin is his subject and he is clearly enjoying himself .
“I am writing a book about Sarah Palin,” he said. “Why not live right next to the story? Unless I do something that is an active violation of their privacy, where is the harm?”
Not true. Sarah Palin has a large young family and she and her husband, Todd are entitled to the privacy at their family home in Wasilla.
The very idea of having muckraking journalist living next door, trying to peer into every aspect of their lives must be horrifying, especially as far as their children are concerned.
My sympathy is all with Palin on this given the reputation that McGinniss has for sharp practice when it comes to his writing.
McGinniss said he had glimpsed Ms. Palin for “about three seconds” and that he doesn’t expect to get a lot of material from living there but he has already had a nasty encounter with Todd Palin and there could be more standoffs.

Sounds as though the boy is one of those Ollie Stoned types who have a problem with the facts. That's one of the major problems I have with leftest wingnuts. To them, the truth is whatever you want it to be.
By going to Alaska and harrassing the Palins up front what he's done is to give cover to the Kennedy clan to have him killed, gutted, dressed out and hung out to freezedry this winter.

McGinnis claims a “nasty” encounter with Todd. Hmmph! Todd probably said, “Stay off our property.” That alone would cause Peeper Joe to wet his pants.
That is EXACTLY why the maggot is doing this. He knows that a lot of fringe kooks suffering from PDS will throw away their money at his “book” and he’ll make a killing. He’s just exploiting Governor Palin’s popularity for his own financial gain. Nothing more.
I wonder if Joe likes knuckle sandwiches? If he does, maybe Todd could bring one over.

To rent a house for the sole reason of harassing, stalking, spying on a famous next door neighbor?
There has got to be a law against that. He has shown probable cause with his strange celebtard situations on his previous books.
Palin should get a restraining order, that he intends to violate her privacy, slander her name, cause her discomfort in the privacy of her own home, forcing her to erect sight and sound barriers?
Palin also needs to erect some sort of high frequency sound barrier there.
Those fancy microphones these days are pretty much aim and shoot —

Joe could say “he overheard” the Palins talking in their home.
While really had a high powered microphone pointed at their house.
Sarah needs to either defend herself or get out of town.
I have no idea what they do to people who mess other people's lawns ~ it's not like "lawns" are a major item in the far North ~
The mean-spirited neighbor expected the Palins to pay for suggested improvements to her property. [If a neighbor asks you to mow your lawn or trim a few trees or do something to help your property values increase do you expect that neighbor to pay?] Obviously the neighbor is a liberal . . . she expected someone else to pay!
The Alaska Liberals hate Sarah and Todd Palin because the Palins are everything the Liberals can never be.
Envy and Jealousy create mean-spirited people.
