Two men were arrested for assault Sunday in Issaquah for allegedly beating up a man they said raped a woman.
According to the Issaquah police, officers responded to a home in the 400 block of Northeast Birch Street where a rape had been reported. Officers found a man unconscious, bleeding from the face and head.
The injured man, 31, from Kirkland, was reported to be the suspect in the rape. He was taken to Harborview Medical Center.
Police said the suspect was attacked by two other men, including a 31-year-old Renton resident and the husband of the rape victim. The other man is a 30-year-old Issaquah resident.
The two men were booked into the King County Jail on suspicion of assault, and the case remains under investigation.
It wasn't clear whether the assault victim was arrested on suspicion of rape.

Notice that the report states is wasn't clear whether the assault victim was arrested on suspicion of rape.
Now I know why they beat the scumbag, they knew the police would not do anything probably. Which is even more reason to support the beating by the husband and friend.
Old days police would’ve thanked them for taking care of the problem for them.
I can’t imagine any jury would convict them.
They should have told him he won a tuna fishing trip and took him far out into the ocean. Then let him know that he is the bait.
Get it, FISH BAIT!
Why do you think that? I worked for the LAPD and Rape was considered a very serious crime. The cases were worked very aggressively.
I cant imagine any jury would convict them if the man they assaulted was, in fact, the rapist.
Looks more like the husband and his friend walked in on the wife cheating with her boy toy and she cried rape. Cops may have been smart enough to figure that out which is why the husband and friend were arrested. Happens a lot some times with very tragic results, I remember one case in Texas where the boy toy was filled with several holes, the wife ended up in jail but not for nearly enough time.
Twelve liberals in one room could.
“I remember one case in Texas where the boy toy was filled with several holes, the wife ended up in jail but not for nearly enough time.”
Good reason to be sure not to park in someone elses garage.
I believe Texas law is sympathetic to husbands who find their wives cheating in the home (or vice versa).
This is Seattle, and in Seattle they will spend more money to make these two men pay for the beating then they will on making rapists pay for being a rapist.

It also sounds like it could be similar to that guy I saw buried in Tombstone, Arizona, too ... He had written on his gravestone, "Hanged by Mistake" ... LOL ... [not funny to him, though].
It appears that a group of people in Tombstone was sure he was guilty of the crime (sorry, don't know what crime it was) and they chased him down through town, and they hanged him. Afterwards, it turns out that they found out he wasn't the one ... thus what was put on his gravestone ... hoo-boy!
All, I can say, is that I'm glad we do have those Constitutional protections of not being deprived of property, life and liberty without due process and a trial by a jury of your own peers. And I'm glad that no one is considered guilty, until and unless that jury determines that a person is guilty beyond a reasonable doubt.
It was a system designed by our founding fathers to make sure that not many "innocent" would be found guilty, knowing that this would mean that more "guilty" would be found innocent.
I'm grateful that if someone does decide to "take matters into their own hands, apart from the law" -- after they've "figured out" that "I'm guilty" -- at least the law will be after them, and convict them of a crime for them trying to "administer their own justice" on me ...
It's a good thing that not many people decided to break the law like that and become their own "justice system" ... :-)
Something funny here. She called a friend, not the police. When the husband came home the suspect was sleeping on the couch.
They won’t thank you now because they are union members who don’t want their job security infringed upon. The criminal justice system is big business for the government, lawyers, psychologists and psychiatrists, the US prison system and related industries. If you don’t go easy on the criminals those people are going to be out of a job! We can’t have that now!
Reminds me of a twilight zone episode where a mans wife is brutally raped and left with emotional/mental scars.
When she comes back from the hospital, as they are driving one day she sees a man with a grocery bag walking and she starts acting terrified and says that is the man who raped her and is almost violently insistent. The husband pulls over, follows the guy on foot to his apartment. A fight insues and the husband kills the guy.
He goes back to the car and tells her it is taken care of. They drive a few more blocks and there is a guy waiting for a bus and the wife goes into the same routine with him.
Eerie music plays during the husband’s “uh oh” moment. The end.
I remember salt and pepper shakers my parents had in the early sixties when I was very young. They were tombstones.
I don’t remember the salt, but the pepper shaker said”
Here lies Pepper Tate
Hanged by mistake
He was right and we were wrong
But we strung him up and now he’s gone.
Very funny indeed.
Not so certain this is a cut and dry case of a bad guy who deservedly got what was coming to him.
Note to self: Do the yearly maintenance on the wood-chipper.
And who shoot and kill the guy screwing her --a guy who may or may not have even known she was married?
Hmmmm.
