Obama on Sestak Job Scandal: 'Nothing Improper Took Place'; W.H. Report Coming 'Soon'

Barack Obama assured the American people that "nothing improper took place" with regard to claims by Rep. Joe Sestak (D-PA.) that the Obama administration offered him a government job if he would drop out of the Pennsylvania primary race with Sen. Arlen Specter.
Obama also said a White House report about the allegations would be coming "soon".
"Not months or weeks," he said.
Democrats and Republicans have raised questions about what could be a serious violation of federal law, or even an impeachable offense, if Sestak was indeed offered a bribe of a federal job.
Obama made his comments in response to a question by Fox News' Major Garrett at today's press conference.
Obama declined to get into specifics, deferring to the "soon" to be released White House report.

Makes sense...I didn’t realize he had been demoted. Do you have some background on that. When you say demoted...do you mean just removed from a job or actually lost rank? If he lost rank he must have done something bad...so I assume you meant he was removed from a job...not really a demotion in military terms. Just trying to be clear on what really happened.

Some serious cases of Amnesia about to develop at 1600 Pennsylvania Ave. They’ll be calling in Hillary who’s an expert on these matters. ( Amnesia that is )

The important thing is that Obama has admitted 'something' happened. So Sestak is not making it up out of whole cloth.
This actually gives those calling for an independent investigation something to support that call.

This whole thing is as innocent as the documents of the conversations between Barry and Blago over buying Barry's old Senate seat that never took place. And if they did, they were innocent and hypothetical, and if they weren't, then Barry's attorney said they weren't criminal so just never mind, Mr. Nosey Boots.

One of these days, Obama will produce the physician that delivered him in Hawaii ...
Withour evidence like that, our generation will be scorned for not getting to the heart of this.

In either case, Sestak is proving himself to be a bad choice for the Pennsylvania voters: They don’t need a liar as a US Senator; and they don’t need someone who colludes with the liars in the White House.

It depends on what the definition of “improper” means, I suppose.

Exactly. What did he think he would gain by bringing this up in the first place?

Some might refer to this as the fox guarding the chicken coop, but I’d say it’s more like the rooster protecting the hens from sexual assaults.
