An 11-year-old boy was attacked by a pit bull while riding his bike near his home in Fairbanks on Tuesday evening, according to Alaska State Troopers The boy, who was not immediately named, was stabilized at Fairbanks Memorial Hospital and transported to Anchorage for further treatment.

I never suggested the spuriousness of your statement had anything to do with your flair for the dramatic; Do you know what an ad hominem fallacy is? Implying that all pit bull owners have small penises, or deal drugs, or don’t care about children in pain. Those are ad hominem attacks.

I think histrionic is a pretty accurate description of the post in question; Stating that one has been ‘mauled’ is bound to evoke a pretty emotional response, and a cry for healing even more. If not meant literally, it seems calculated to draw sympathetic responses, especially in the context of a dog attack.
