Hey, it's worked before. If you watch no other video today, you gotta watch this one.
Don Imus on the Fox Business Network Tuesday interviewing jolly old Democrat Sen. Chris Dodd of Connecticut, who was forced into retirement by the certainty of defeat this November.
Like pretty much everyone else on the planet except the makers of oil dispersant, Dodd is 110% very safely opposed to the ongoing oil spill in the Gulf of Mexico. He's also appalled.
As is the Obama White House.
Actually what the White House is appalled over is that the fingers of blame are starting to turn toward the Obama White House, the Oval Office to be exact.
Not that the White House has the technology either to address an oil spill of this magnitude and oceanic depth.
The Obama administration can't do anything about it, except lay on the PR. But the president wants to spend Memorial Day weekend in Chicago.
And how would that look enjoying Hyde Park and maybe yet more golf or a Sox game while one of the nation's worst environmental disasters gushes unabated down south?
So to assuage that anticipated criticism, the White House has quickly laid on a Friday presidential trip back down to Louisiana, his second. He didn't see a drop of oil during the first one. But it looks good on TV.
Chris Dodd has been in the U.S. Senate now for five six-year terms and might have been looking into drilling safety precautions instead of special mortgage deals. So he too is eager to spread blame elsewhere.
You'll never guess which recent Republican president Dodd tries to finger for last month's underwater blowout.
You'll get a good chuckle out of Imus' incredulous response starting around the 1:20 mark.

Yet another example of President Bart Obama & his “We didn’t do it!” Administration.
Imus SPANKED Dodd!!!
Has Senator Dodd forgotten that in January 2009, Secretary Salazar said he was doing a thorough review of the Minerals Management Service after a Denver scandal for being too close to the oil industry???
U.S. Interior Secretary Ken Salazar said Thursday that he has ordered a re-examination of the scandalized Interior Department division based in Lakewood, including why the U.S. Justice Department did not pursue more criminal prosecutions.
Two convictions resulted from a wide-ranging inspector-general inquiry that last year exposed improper relationships between Minerals Management Service employees and energy firms, in addition to self-dealing by some staffers.
"There's a new sheriff in town," Salazar said during a news conference at the MMS complex. "We will be visiting with the new U.S. attorney general and take a new look at it."

This one is on the "new sheriff's" watch. Guess he turned out to be more like Barney Fife than Wyatt Earp.
Has he declared it a disaster yet?
What an incompetent administration!...all they have are fingers to point to blame.
The report that came out in 2008 set the table for Obama to create “Change” in this branch of the government.
What did he do? Nothing.......
LMAO!!!
Blame Booosh again?!?
What, did the rest of the pages in the Donk playbook get stuck together during the Clinton regime?
I wonder what the world situation will be if this well is still spewing one year from now. We are all expecting BP or the government to get it under control...but what if they can’t? Has anyone speculated what such a protracted spew will do?
Oh, it was so bad under Bush. So Dodd, how many oil spills did we have during those terrible 8 years? At least the evil Bush would have known something about oil wells and who to contact during a spill. zero is ignorant and despised in the oil industry. Unfortunately, there could be a some oil experts out there that could be of assistance, but I’m afraid that most of them don’t want anything to do with this toxic administration.
Here's why, IMO.
The blow out can only be stopped by BP, therefore the Rats can endlessly blame BP for it. So far, Obama has been held blameless for the spill, however their inspection & certification is suspect, as is the safety waivers they gave to BP. It will be a long time, if ever, that certain blame can be placed on individuals & agencies for this disaster, so Obama has plenty of time to make up a good story on this.
OTOH, the inept CLEANUP is something that can be blamed on Obama & Co., & right now. And it is the cleanup that will be here long after the hole is plugged. This is the total responsibility of the Environmental Protection Agency, regardless of whatever BP can do, because, duh, our Gulf coast is a vital part of the US, whose environment needs some serious protecting.
If GM & Chrysler can get billions in bailout money, the Obama can damn sure spend billions on protecting & cleaning up this disaster. If they want to bill the responsible parties later, that's fine, but meanwhile, the oil washes ashore & into the marshes.
BTW, hurricane season is soon upon us. Where is that oil gonna go in a storm surge?
I believe Dodd should face public execution for the damage he has done to this country.
Pretty soon the Rats will be blaming Bush for a bad case of erectile dysfunction.
What did he say?
now THAT’s funny! ; ) unlike your tired old lawyer jokes!
