President Obama clashes with McCain in Republican luncheon
Politico ^ | May 25, 2010 | Manu Raju

President Barack Obama battled with Senate Republicans in a tense closed-door meeting Tuesday, facing tough criticism from his GOP adversaries – including John McCain — on issues ranging from health care to border security.

Senators and other sources inside the meeting described the gathering as “testy” and “direct” – and Sen. Bob Corker (R-Tenn.) accused Obama of acting two-faced by asking for GOP support on regulatory reform only to push forward with a bill supported mainly by Democrats. Others felt that the meeting may have made already tense relations between the two parties even worse.

"The more he talked the more he got upset," Sen. Pat Roberts (R-Kansas) said. “He needs to talk a valium before he comes in and talks to Republicans and just calm down, and don’t take anything so seriously. If you disagree with someone, it doesn’t mean you’re attacking their motives – and he takes it that way and tends then to lecture and then gets upset.”

McCain is the man most responsible for giving us Obama.

I’m beginning to think that McPain will run in 2012 assuming he disposes of Hayworth this year.

President Chicken has a Korean patrol boat under his belt.
Think Carter and ask who’s next to get punched in the face by schoolyard punks who have no fear of Chicken Little?

China and Russia laugh at him.

“The republicans would do well to pull together and object to everything and not even accept him as a legitimate president.”

I disagree with that approach.

No dictator would stand for such treatment. You can’t forget that Colonel Obama has the largest military on earth. He’s also got his own version of the ‘brown shirts’ in the SEIU on the civilian side.

Taking Congress away would be interesting, in that there is no choice but to take that personally, regardless of what history says about off-year elections.

To depose a Colonel like that, you have to stage a bloodless coup. He has no loyal constituency, beyond the authority granted him by the Constitution.

In America, you can’t really stage a coup. Presidents still have executive orders and war powers authority, for example.

The only group in the US that can take out the Colonel is Democrats. Durbin seems to be taking the Sestak thing seriously. I don’t think that’s an accident.

One way the Democrats could keep the gains they made in socialism this year is to take the lead on cleaning out the WH themselves. The trick is having the goods to do it, and a leader in the Senate/House that can lead the effort.

Obama drove them to do what they couldn’t. Now he needs to go, hoping that as he does he stays true to form and allows all the anger people have toward government to focus on him.

That could VERY much work. He can’t help himself. They’ll be cries of racism, which will be countered with cries of corruption - Chicago style.

I think Dem’s may believe it’s too late for mid-terms, but not for 2012. D’s are about self-preservation and self-interest - narcissism pure and simple. It takes a great deal of effort, money, and public humiliation to be elected to Congress. You don’t just lose your seat and laugh it off. Even the recent political retirees will come out to whack the Colonel (politically) and force him from office early.

GOP = Incompetent American Party.

Dems = Competent anti-American Party.

Why should there be any effort to reconcile?

Why should there be anything but enmity and animosity from each to the other?

Why should any time a Republican meets a Democrat not end up in a fist fight or a homicide?

Answer: If there were any deep-seated differences between the two, there's wouldn't be.

Doesn’t surprise me one bit, and it shouldn’t surprise anyone else. I took Obama’s measure in May 2008, when Stephanopolous and the other moderators had him reeling in one of the Democratic primary debates. This was well before “lipstick on a pig” and a slew of other nasty flailing-abouts. The guy simply has the thinnest skin of any national politician I’ve ever seen. He cannot handle direct criticism, and he performs poorly when pressed to think on his feet.

LOL! SO they come out and admit Barry should take a chill pill so he can calm down enough to talk to people who disagree with him.

O Lord, and this man, who seems to be emotionally arrested at about age 14, may have to decide how to respond to a nuclear attack.
