I'm still looking at this...

Seismographs all over recorded an odd event about 7 hours ago.

Link to the live data (which may roll off in another hour or two, but I captured the page)

CARNATION, Wash. — A magnitude 3.4 earthquake rattled the Puget Sound area early Tuesday morning, but there were no reports of damage or injuries.

The epicenter was near Carnation, and the quake occurred about 3.9 miles beneath the surface at 5:21 a.m.

Many people on the Eastside felt the quake, and residents reported feeling the shaking for several seconds.

Trish Hanrahan says her dogs let her know the ground was shaking.

“I thought I heard a boom, or a snap, and then all of a sudden (my dogs) went crazy; they just started barking wildly,” Hanrahan said. “It made me jump right off the couch and I couldn’t figure out what was going on, and sure enough it was an earthquake.”

For Franchesca Puskar, who lives near the epicenter in Carnation it was a very strong jolt.

“It just smacked the house and there was this crunching noise,” she said.

I read on Wikipedia that a coronal mass ejection took 15 minutes to reach Earth in 2005; it had the highest concentration of protons ever measured.

Since I read it might have been a Hyder flare, and it took twice as long as the one in 2005, what could explain worldwide readings? An even higher concentration traveling at a lower velocity due to its size/mass? Maybe we just caught the edge of a gamma ray blast?

I would imagine many astronomical institutions all over the world are on this, as well as geological institutions.

Interesting stuff! I understand that the flares will continue for the next few days, that coupled with the full moon (meaning higher and lower tides, creating more "rocking" on the plates), could foreshadow more seismic activity to come this week.

We shall see...

I checked CERN’s website and it stated that they’re doing a new experiment next year; looks like they already installed some of the parts to it. Maybe they tested it and something went wrong.

The USGS map is showing a pretty active day on the west cost but nothing east of the Mountains.

Ben moved the island again after Jack left Hurley in charge. It's how Hurley and Ben got Desmond off the island and back into the flash sideways timeline. *nods*
