Here’s what happened IIRC. Congress declared war on Japan within a day or two of Pearl Harbor, but not against Germany. Hitler really wanted the US to stay out of the war, obviously, but Germany had a mutual defense treaty with Japan, which they honored and declared war on the US. The US then reciprocated and declared war on Germany (and presumably Italy, but I don’t recall).

I wish McCain went after 0 like this.McShame only get the fire in the belly when his opponent is conservative. Any other time, Americans have "nothing to worry about" if his opponent wins.
