really, really pathetic....
in 1997 my girlfriend (now my wife) and I went to DC for Memorial Day weekend...it was a life changing experience...
as much as I disliked him I must tell you, it was thrilling to see clinton live at Arlington during the Memorial Day service...we were literally a 30 feet from him during the service in the amphitheater...
Funny you say that, speaks to the huge presence that any US President carries. My brother and I got tickets to the Army/Navy game in 2001, right after 9/11 and President Bush attended. My brother is a big lefty but he remarked how cool it was to be there with the President.
On the other hand, if I were asked to attend an event where Obama would be speaking, I'd pass. He is the least qualified person to be President in pretty much every room he is in, so I wouldn't expect to be awed by the experience.
I disagreed with a LOT of the sleazy actions of Clinton and he did a good deal of damage economically ... but even that being said, I respect him from his title of Mr. President.
Obama? He is NOT the American President. He is a terrorist in the White House that America has not found the bravery to run him out of yet.
