With the long Memorial Day weekend on the horizon, President Obama is finally addressing one of the great broken promises of his administration: his early pledge to return home to Chicago every six weeks or so.
(snip)
On Monday, Obama will make remarks at the Abraham Lincoln National Cemetery, south of Chicago - missing the usual tradition of presidents speaking at Arlington National Cemetery on Memorial Day.

When we get the new President to replace Barry the narcissistic pantywaist, I want a return to Presidential traditions.
Funny you say that, speaks to the huge presence that any US President carries. My brother and I got tickets to the Army/Navy game in 2001, right after 9/11 and President Bush attended. My brother is a big lefty but he remarked how cool it was to be there with the President.
On the other hand, if I were asked to attend an event where Obama would be speaking, I'd pass. He is the least qualified person to be President in pretty much every room he is in, so I wouldn't expect to be awed by the experience.
this is disgraceful
I see this as another blessing to be thankful for. I do feel a little bad for Chicago but after all, he is theirs.
It is disgraceful but probably better.

“The Kenyan is not fit to walk amongst our honored dead.”
Once again this POS shows disdain for our military and anything American
Or maybe it’s like vampires and daylight: TOTUS literally feels pain being in the presence of military heroes.
Obama needs to go now.
Total disgrace.
Piece of Scum.
And when Barry gets back he’s holding a huge White House gala to honor Paul McCartney!

Faith Hill To Honor Paul McCartney At White House Concert

Faith Hill will pay tribute to Paul McCartney at a concert hosted by President Barack Obama at the White House on June 2. The event will recognize the former Beatle as this year’s recipient of the Library of Congress Gershwin Prize for Popular Song, the highest honor given for pop music.
I guess he has to get back to thugland and payoff everyone who has been doing his dirtywork, and pass out new assignments, after Sustek, he knows better than to wire money or talk on the phone...might be traeable.
And yet he's president.
Its surreal.
I can’t remember a President skipping Memorial Day at Arlington.

Exactly. The only answer is either he truly doesn't understand, or he is deliberately doing this to denigrate America.
I disagreed with a LOT of the sleazy actions of Clinton and he did a good deal of damage economically ... but even that being said, I respect him from his title of Mr. President.
Obama? He is NOT the American President. He is a terrorist in the White House that America has not found the bravery to run him out of yet.
I’d rather he not be there, it sullies the whole day.
Good. The fact that that SOB occupies the White House is too close to Arlington National Cemetery to me.
I don’t want him near my mom and dad or the tens of thousands of other real Americans buried there.
