Can this be for real? From Carly Fiorina's Twitter feed:
@CarlyforCA Breaking news: Fiorina 46%, Campbell 23%, DeVore 14% according to new Survey USA poll. Proof that hard work pays off!
This, I'm told by the Fiorina campaign, was just reported on television on L.A. The last SurveyUSA poll showed Fiorina trailing Campbell 35% to 24%, with DeVore in third at 15%. So, if true, this new poll would represent a huge swing--such a huge swing that I'm curious to see the actual poll.
That’s often true. In this case I think SJB has a legitimate gripe. He’s repeatedly made his displeasure known to this poster and isn’t initiating the exchanges. I find her nuttiness entertaining, but not everyone does.
Wrong comparison to make!
Liddy Dole is co-chair of a group that seeks to drive prolifers and conservatives out of the GOP, called, “It’s MY Party PAC.” Fiorina may have some moderate tendencies, but I’d compare her more to a Lamar Alexander than to a Liddy Dole!!!
CBS 5 Poll Finds Whitman, Fiorina Surging
http://cbs5.com/politics/cbs.5.poll.2.1712859.html
A new KPIX-TV CBS 5 poll of likely Republican primary voters finds that Carly Fiorina has shot to the top of the nomination race for U.S. Senate, and Meg Whitman has retaken a huge lead in the gubernatorial race, as well.
latest poll, released Monday, shows Whitman recapturing the lead by 27 points with a 54%-27% advantage over Poizner — a wild swing of 25 points in less than two weeks.
The poll numbers for the Senate race show Fiorina with 46%, former Congressman Tom Campbell at 23%, and Chuck DeVore at 14%. This represents a 34-point net gain for Fiorina since the last CBS 5 poll released on May 11, which had Campbell leading.
Those three organizations you talk of are part of the GOP machine and they endorse less than 100 percent Pro-Life people like my Congressman.
National Right To Life scores my congressman at 57 percent in 2007-2008, then boldly calls him “PRO LIFE” when its Pennsylvania affiliate puts out the voter guide.
National Right To Life has become a Republican election machine linked to the RNC through its longtime General Counsel James Bopp.
Mr. Bopp, who’s said to be supporting Mitt Romney in 2012, is also a Deputy Chairman of the RNC.
Are you sure that Liddy Dole wants to drive pro-lifers out of the GOP? She had a pro-life voting record in the Senate.
And isn’t “It’s My Party Too” the pro-abortion PAC to which Linda McMahon has sent all that money . . . .
I will take Fiorina any day over either Boxer or Feinstein, but especially Boxer. At the very least, Fiorina won’t be casting a vote for Harry Reid as Senate Majority Leader.
If Tom Campbell is such a “libertarian” on economic issues, why has he been shilling for tax increases in California over the past few years? Say what you will about Ron Paul and his unorthodox views, but he would never support the tax-and-spend positions that Campbell has taken since he joined Arnold’s economic team.
Tom Campbell isn’s a “far-left Republican”; he’d be a far-left for a *Democrat* on social issues and on foreign policy, and somewhere between a Blue Dog Democrat and a “fiscally conservative” (read: anti-tax-cut) “Republican” on economic issues.
Why would someone like Fiorina who is pro-life, pro-gun and pro-marriaage join the Democrat Party? Trust me, there’s a big difference between a RINO such as Tom Campbell (who truly belongs with the Democrats) and a moderate-to-conservative Republican such as Carly Fiorina.
At least his nemesis (2-b definition) doesnt ping a posse with his/her posts to him
There are quite a few nutty posters here at FR it seems.
You kinda gots to have a thick skin sometimes
There was a thread some time back started by a mod that explained that they won't be taking the time to tell posters to not post to other members.
Fiorina is pro-election. She is not pro the things she states, or she couldn’t have done some of the things she has.
I trust you, but Fiorina is lying through her teeth IMO.
> Between Campbell, Fiorina, and Boxer, the same thing is going to happen at the end of the night, it’s just that Fiorina is telling us she’s going to buy us dinner first before buckling up the strap-on.... :-(
I know, right? It’s like being asked if I want to die by fire or by drowning. Yay, what a great choice!
This would be funny if it didn't show a tragic naivete.
Boxer brings govt. jobs to Californians - that's all they care about. Fiorina's record is one of job loss without govt there to replace them. The size of the unions in CA are overwhelming and we all know how they will vote.
I hear what you are saying, and I will pull the lever for whoever is the (R) in the race.
But I cannot, will not, campaign for a Campbell or a Fiorina.
I just can’t do it.
And in the primary, I find Campbell just as odious as Fiorina. I can’t ignore that I have a great choice in DeVore. I’m going to vote for him in the primary. I know that will make a lot of you angry, but I will vote for the best person for the job.
A thick hide helps. And so does not taking it all terribly seriously. In the end you can always win by closing the web browser.
It won't happen again.
OH........and I've never "stalked" anyone in my life. What an incredible waste of time that would be (and is for those who do).
And I'm not the least bit "nutty." I just enjoy verbal fisticuffs a bit too much. Everyone in the whole real world thinks I'm wonderful. ;*)
And on the subject.......Fiorina HAS to beat Boxer. It would be huge.
DeVore rules.
>> Are you sure that Liddy Dole wants to drive pro-lifers out of the GOP? She had a pro-life voting record in the Senate. <<
Yes, she wanted to win elections in North Carolina, so she couldn’t exactly vote against John Roberts.
>> And isnt Its My Party Too the pro-abortion PAC to which Linda McMahon has sent all that money . . . . <<
You’re obviously familar with the organization, “It’s My Party Too.” The PAC, however, is IMP-PAC. Revealingly, no “too.” Somewhere between writing the book and founding the PAC, apparently, Christine Todd Whitman and Elizabeth Dole decided they didn’t want to share the party.
I’m not aware of Linda McMahon contributing to them, but it’s not at all surprising, since I’d totally expect McMahon to support RINOs.
>> When she goes all Scott Brown on us, and votes to outsource jobs overseas like she did at HP, dont look at me for the I told you sos.
> If she votes to cut taxes, reduce unionism and stimulate the economy, we won’t have to worry so much about outsourcing jobs.
Well, I hope I’m wrong and you’re right.
I don’t think so, though. I know exactly what kind of leader FioRINO is. So bad that when she was fired from HP all the employees had massive parties with Ding Dong snack cakes, as in “Ding dong, the witch is dead.” That’s how loathed she was. And is still.
Boxer is salivating to run against this one. *sigh*
