Immigrant exodus: Lack of jobs has Mexicans headed home

Gee, now I don't know if I should be rooting for an economic upturn or not.

What is funny is the elite who run Mexico would laugh at that statement.

“I can tell you, 99 percent of the people that move from this mobile home park, they go back to Mexico,” Basurto said.

Here is the future if you want a job in the good ol usa.

“In response, however, employers have chosen other ways to find cheap foreign labor.

Mountaire Farms, which runs a large poultry-processing plant in Lumber Bridge, is said to have hired a contractor to supply immigrant workers from Burma and Thailand.

The contractor provides transportation to the plant, meals and living quarters for the workers, according to an official at the plant.

Michael Tirrell, vice president of human resources and business services for Mountaire Farms, would not directly address whether Burmese or Thai workers have taken jobs once held by Mexicans.

“We don’t necessarily target any particular gender or country of origin,” Tirrell said. “We need good workers with proper documentation. Whoever is qualified, we’ll consider for a job.”

take away the jobs and the hand outs and they will return to Mexico. We won’t have to round up, arrest or deport anyone.

I agree. Living in the Phx metro area, I have a birds eye view of this. I know many hard working illegal immigrants, they are all over. But, they are here illegally. I never confuse my emotions with reality or law.

I want that border SEALED. NOW. McCain is a joke. Now, he's all running around like a rooster squawking about this....Hey, Juan! We all get it: It's election year.

I feel sorry for the kids brought here when they are babies...no papers, what to do? They do feel American. I know some, it is very sad. Still. Seal off those fricken borders. We'll figure the other stuff out eventually. And being American, we will be fair and kind. It's been our nature.

THEY ARE *NOT* IMMIGRANTS!!!

They are illegal aliens.

Immigrants move to a country to permanently take up residence. An Immigrant comes to America to become an AMERICAN, not to make tax-free cash under the table and send it back to his "home" country.

"Nobody wants to give us steady work," Dagoberto Garcia said in Spanish as he waited with four other men under the shade of an awning. "For many years, places like the meat-processing plants and farms welcomed us with open arms. Today, they won't even let us on the premises to apply for work.

"I'm going home and coming back when it gets better."

That pretty much sums up the Mexican mentality. They aren't here to assimilate or even learn the language. They are here for the money and if they can't find work then to Hell with the USA. No loyalty, just want to use us like a cheap hooker.

With all the Mexicans leaving, what are the cops gonna do?! Massive unemployment for law enforcement as the crime rate plummets! Oh the John Q. Law humanity!

We're shooting ourselves in the foot because the people that are leaving are the good, honest, hard-working, God-fearing family people

The Thai and Burmese will prove to have the same qualities except for the religion part of it and they will be legal contract workers. They will not be trying to stay and the Democrats can't make voters of them.

"If Christian churches continue to pimp for illegal aliens then I do not need a middleman to talk to God."

I reached that conclusion years ago after listening to one too many political homilies.

The answer is clear. Shut down the employers and they will return to Mexico.

How nimrods claim 13 million cannot be returned to Mexico lacks sense. It is simple self-service.

Being “fair and kind” is what has caused this disaster.

Hmmmmm. You just said what my husband did the other day. NOT IMMIGRANTS. He is a smart guy....I said that they, indeed WERE immigrants, illegal.

He said a few things that I can’t quote here...because I didn’t follow his logic. He is a very logical person.

We dropped the subject. Now, you say the same thing.

Where do you find the term “permanent” when applied to immigrant?

Hey, I’m just trying to keep up. I like to learn things.

Well, I disagree with you on that. I think biz in AZ and the rest of the US got used to cheap labor and were more than happy to let those people take cheap wages. Nothing to do with fair or kind.

My point: Seal the borders. We are decent in this country, we’ll figure out the small potatos.

Plenty of “Republicans” and others have landscaping and other businesses where they want to hire illegals. Doesn’t matter to them that they are effing their kids futures.
