Seems to me that this is highly illegal and the Illinois AG should be shutting it down immediately.

Here is what HE was speaking of ...
So I returned, and considered all the oppressions that are done under the sun: and behold the tears of such as were oppressed, and they had no comforter;
and on the side of their oppressors there was power; but they had no comforter.
Wherefore I praised the dead which are already dead more than the living which are yet alive.
Yea, better is he than both they, which hath not yet been, who hath not seen the evil work that is done under the sun.
Again, I considered all travail, and every right work, that for this a man is envied of his neighbour. This is also vanity and vexation of spirit.
The fool foldeth his hands together, and eateth his own flesh. Better is an handful with quietness, than both the hands full with travail and vexation of spirit.
Then I returned, and I saw vanity under the sun. There is one alone, and there is not a second; yea, he hath neither child nor brother: yet is there no end of all his labour; neither is his eye satisfied with riches;
neither saith he, For whom do I labour, and bereave my soul of good? This is also vanity, yea, it is a sore travail.
Two are better than one; because they have a good reward for their labour.
For if they fall, the one will lift up his fellow: but woe to him that is alone when he falleth; for he hath not another to help him up.
Again, if two lie together, then they have heat: but how can one be warm alone?
And if one prevail against him, two shall withstand him;
and a threefold cord is not quickly broken.
Better is a poor and a wise child than an old and foolish king, who will no more be admonished.
For out of prison he cometh to reign; whereas also he that is born in his kingdom becometh poor.
I considered all the living which walk under the sun, with the second child that shall stand up in his stead.
There is no end of all the people, even of all that have been before them: they also that come after shall not rejoice in him. Surely this also is vanity and vexation of spirit.

All I was doing was correcting the reference. The quote was not “scriptural” it was Benjamin Franklinual.

On Today's Program
Obama calls for new international order
Continuing his trend of things that most presidents never do, President Obama spoke at West Point and told the cadets there of the need for a new international order. Given the recent apology tours, it seems the logical 'new' order would have America falling down a few spots in the countdown. Glenn has the story on radio today. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)
What should Weiner do?
Perhaps Congressman Weiner should consider investigating the President as to what happened with Joe Sestak the other day. The President supported his opponent, Arlen Specter, and shortly after Sestak won the election he claimed that he was offered a job by the administration if he were to step out of the race. Glenn has the audio from Sestak and the weiner-like response from Press Secretary Gibbs. ( Transcript, Insider Audio)
Glenn is O'Reilly's meat shield?
First Van Jones tried to boycott Glenn, then Obama advisor Jim Wallis, then SEIU and now Congressman Anthony Weiner has launched a Weiner attack on Glenn. Bill O'Reilly joined Glenn on radio today and astutely informed him that the only reason Glenn has a job is because O'Reilly gave the hire a green light so Glenn could be Bill's meat shield. What's that? Find out on radio today. ( Transcript, Insider Audio, FREE Insider Extreme clip)
The New Politics of Intimidation
Last week Glenn showed the video of a bank executive who came home to find 500 SEIU protesters on his front porch. The protesters didn't seem to care when the 14 year old boy trapped inside alone was completely freaking out - they just kept on chanting and surrounding the house. Here's a great article from John Fund on the Unions vs. the Tea Parties in November, and the article from Fortune about the protest and the pure thuggery of the unions.
Frank Caliendo
Comedian, impressionist, and the always entertaining Frank Caliendo joined the program and gave a glimpse of how his 'Glenn' impersonation is coming along. The man of many voices doesn't disappoint in another quality segment that includes plenty of Glenn bashing. ( Transcript, Insider Audio, FREE Insider Extreme clip)
Washington Crossing the Delaware
Youve seen Steve Penleys art in Glenns radio studio and heard Glenn talk about this master painter. Steve has graciously offered to send anyone who donates $100 to the Special Operations Warrior Foundation (between now and Memorial Day) an unmounted signed print of his Washington Crossing the Delaware. Check out the print HERE and donate HERE.
Insider Extreme: For Extreme subscribers only, Czar-at-Large Brian Sack gives us his week in review of the Glenn Beck Program. Not a subscriber? Get all the DETAILS.
Glenn agrees with Pelosi?
Nancy Pelosi came out last weekend and encouraged people to quit their jobs and start doing whatever they want to do because the government has your back now. So much for the argument that this isn't a government takeover. Where does Glenn think Nancy has a point? Check out Glenn's latest Beck Talks video blog. ( WATCH)

I don't really watch Beck, I've run across it while channel hopping. I just knew the quote wasn't from the Bible, I haven't a clue whether Beck said it was or not. Most likely it was where the poster thought it was from, not Beck.
I didn't know who said it first so I googled and the oldest reference I found was Ben Franklin.
My post wasn't about anything Beck may or may not have said.

Glenn showed three blue screened with white text quotes from the Book of Ecclesiastes,
and
this is a link to that reference.
You really should WATCH Beck
if you're going to understand comments about his show.

Beck quoted Ecclesiastes and it made myself and others think of the Franklin quote.

You really should WATCH Beck if you're going to understand comments about his show. Again.
I did not take issue with anything Beck said, only that the quote cited by the poster was not from the Bible.
Here is the post:
I think its (the Scripture GB was reading) saying, We must all hang together, or we will all hang separately.
It is not from scripture as the poster stated.
I watch very little T.V. local news, Discovery channel occasionally, Animal Planet.

Thank you for allowing me to be on with people that are of the same mind. I wish you would help me pray that Franklin Graham would get involved with Glenn. I was listening to Franklin the other night and it hit me Franklin has everything to be a leader.
The one big plus that others don't have he is a true mountain man like some of our forefathers. Please tell me if you feel like I do.
He caught it for flying Palin to Asheville. He just stands right in there and don't dodge the the truth.
Please keep me on this list.

Beck quoted Ecclesiastes and it made myself and others think of the Franklin quote. I understood you were thinking out loud, but then, I've read your posts for some time, familiar with you and your manner -- sometimes I will shorthand a post myself, if one who is not all that familiar happens through, a correction looks to be coming my way.
Glenn also said last night the "There is power in numbers" after the Bible cite -- not original to him either, but it is on point. I always thought the Franklin quote was "We must all hang together, for surely we will all hang separately" -- but I've never actually looked it up, not since hearing it back in Civics class (mumble mumble) years ago. ;)

My apologies.

I never miss Glenn. I am also an insider.I try to support what I can. I am an old time real conservative war horse. I am unable to attend Tea parties.
If you don’t know who Jesse Helms was, look him up. I worked for him.

I was in N.C. from Oct 78 thru Dec 85, and I know about Jessee Helms.
I liked him, because he called it like it was.
I can't afford to be an "insider", but I agree with Glenn Beck. Being retired myself, and sorta of helping my aging parents, I can't attend the Tea Parties, either. But I'd love to go, if I could.
Thanks for the thoughts.
