A political blogger is claiming he had a "inappropriate physical relationship" with South Carolina Republican gubernatorial candidate Nikki Haley.
Haley has "categorically" denied the accusation by Will Folks, a former spokesman for Gov. Mark Sanford who now blogs and has done paid public relations work for politicians – including Haley.
"Several years ago, prior to my marriage, I had an inappropriate physical relationship with Nikki," Folks wrote on his site, FITSnews.com. "It is what it is, and aside from the Haley family – Michael, Nikki, Rena and Nalin – I feel no need to apologize or explain myself to anyone. People are human. We make mistakes."
In a statement, Haley denied an improper relationship.
“I have been 100 percent faithful to my husband throughout our 13 years of marriage,” Haley said in a statement sent via her campaign this morning. “This claim against me is categorically and totally false.

For the benefit of the folks who don’t know Nikki Haley.
She is an elected official from South Carolina currently serving in the South Carolina House of Representatives where she represents Lexington County.
Haley is currently running for the Republican nomination in the South Carolina gubernatorial election, 2010 and has been endorsed by former Governor and GOP presidential candidate Mitt Romney, South Carolina First Lady Jenny Sanford, and former Governor and Republican Vice Presidential nominee Sarah Palin.
As Per May 2010 Rasmussen Polling, Haley is the front-runner for the GOP nomination. Now we begin to understand why the dirty tricks brigade is working overtime.
Many people don’t know this, but Nikki Haley has an exotic background in terms of ethnicity.
Her parents Dr. Ajit and Raj Randhawa are Indian Punjabi Sikh immigrants from Amritsar and she has an older brother Mitti, sister Simran Singh, and younger brother Charan. She went to Clemson University and majored in Accounting and then joined the FCR Corporation before joining her mother’s business in 1994.
The family business grew to a multi million dollar company. Her brother who is an active duty officer has served in the U.S. Army for the past 20 years.
If she wins, she will be the second person of Indian descent to be the governor of a US state ( Bobby Jindal being the first ).

Haley was raised in a Sikh family, and identifies herself as a Christian, and sits on the board for Mt. Horeb United Methodist Church, Medmission.
On September 6, 1996 she married Michael Haley, in a Methodist church ceremony. Michael is a federal employee with the United States Department of the Army and an officer in the South Carolina Army National Guard. Together they have two children, Rena and Nalin.

She can’t afford the distraction during the campaign. A law suit would suck all the energy out of her campaign. Just deny it and get on with trying to win the election.
If the allegation costs her the election, she’d have more reason (and time) to deal with a law suit. The statute of limitations would be long after she would be sworn in (or not).

Thanks for the background info. Interesting the 2 states that will have elected governors (if Haley goes on to win the nomination and election )of Indian extraction are in the ever-bigoted (per the MSM/DNC template) south.
Just a few days ago some political opponents of Nikki
tried to get a court order to pull her advertising off the TV networks....it failed, and now this crap.. When a good person is ahead in the race, someone goes out to find a low life pissant to smear the likes of Nikki Utter SB.
It makes you wonder why anyone chooses to run for elective office any more. If they can’t argue their positions, they opt out and smear their opponent’s character. Positively disgusting.
