There has been a terrible development in the case of Rifqa Bary. According to Rifqa, she has been diagnosed with advanced uterine cancer
I ask all Atlas readers to put Rifqa in their prayers.
While this is a tragedy, how she is being victimized by her lawyers and her parents is an atrocity. Her lawyers kept her in the dark about her condition cancer for well over a week, while they conferred with her parents and their CAIR appointed lawyers about her treatment. While most cases like this result in a hysterectomy, she is only having the advanced malignancy removed. From what I understand, the survival rate in cases like these is 5%.
Was she allowed to get a second opinion? No.
While she was lying ill, her lawyers brought her parents to her hospital bed. She was strapped down for treatment and became very agitated and upset, and they had to removed. She has broken her silence, a silence mandated by her lawyers, that she could not talk to her friends such as Jamal Jivanjee and those of us who have been unwavering in our support for Rifqa Barys civil rights and religious liberty.
Now she is scared. Her entire legal strategy was directed at keeping her safe and securing her immigration status, and here we are at the end of May and she has no immigration status. Upon her birthday in August 2010, she will be an illegal alien, in need of serious chemotherapy and cancer treatment. This is a horror.
Amen. She is one of His beloved---purchased by the blood of His precious Son. He will never leave her nor forsake her.
The Bible says to pray for our enemies. My faith is not that strong. A curse upon you both. You miserable piece of crap. Joking about a suffering young women.
oh that was so mean! I will pray to my toast for your forgiveness
“She is an adult now isnt she?”
Not until August. 3 months until her emancipation.

Dreadful. Prayers for her and her health.
“A curse upon” me?
Did you really say that?
Here is pictures of me and my beautiful little future freeperettes: http://www.flickr.com/photos/mwk_14059/I am a single dad and love every moment of every day with my children.
Funny how someone who professes "loving every moment of every day with his children" would be so callous regarding Rifqa Bary.
THX THX.
MAY GOD HAVE MERCY ON HER.
MAY GOD CAUSE ALL THE EVIL DOERS AROUND HER AND IN HER SITUATION TO SUFFER, REAP 10 TIMES WHAT THEY HAVE TRIED TO PULL ON HER—AND THAT SPEEDILY.
MAY GOD HEAL HER AND RAISE UP MIGHTY WELLSPRINGS OF SUPPORT IN HER BEHALF.
LET GOD ARISE AND HIS ENEMIES BE SCATTERED.
GRRR.
Horrific.
Prayers that she’s healed and that other medical options are availed asap.
I wasn’t joking. I think it’s absolutely horrible how certain evangelical Christians have exploited this poor, confused teenager. There’s no evidence she was ever in any danger at all from her parents, but now that she’s been made into a mini-celebrity by all this exploitation, she certainly is. Every two-bit wannabe jihadist in the country now knows that she’s a Muslim-to-Christian convert, where she is, and what she looks like, and that they’d have a nifty claim to fame in the world of two-bit wannabe jihadists if they could take credit for killing her. The two “pastors” involved in encouraging and helping her to run away both belong in jail.
I hope she doesn’t really have cancer, but either way, the faster she’s sent back to Sri Lanka, the better off she’ll be. And I really don’t care to hear another round of ignorant comments from people who think Sri Lanka is a Muslim country, and that they need to “save” her by keeping her from being sent back to her own country. Same idiots who were insisting they had to “save” her by throwing states’ rights out the window, and having Florida keep her when Ohio obviously had jurisdiction over her (’cause Florida’s child welfare system is just so renowned for keeping kids safe < /s> ). Little wonder Mr. K is poking fun at the folks who spout this stuff.
I will toast to that
I dont know a thing about her or her case...and I certainly hope the best for the young woman’s health but I would like to join both of you in your cursed-ness
For a glimpse of Rifqa's life before she ran away from her supposedly extremist Muslim parents, check out this photo which she had posted on one of her social networking pages:
Yep, that's right, she was on the cheerleading squad at her coed public high school, and her extremist Muslim parents somehow overlooked the conflict between their extremist Muslim religious beliefs and their teenage daughter doing straddle jumps in micro-miniskirts in front of crowds of horny unrelated teenage males.
Pray for Rifqa, BTTT.
I guess I’m among the cursed here because when I watch the video of Rifkqa, I see a little girl who looks like she’s been brainwashed.
If she chose Christianity freely and because God moved her heart, God bless her, but let’s be honest: she’s claiming she became a Christian at 14. I was raised a Catholic Christian, and if I at 14 decided to become a Buddhist, a Muslim, a Baptist, even an Episcopalian or any other denomination, my parents would have - rightfully — gone bat-sh!t crazy on me. Because: I’m a 14-year-old CHILD. It wouldn’t surprise me in the slightest if this girl’s parents went equally bat-sh!t crazy on her. But they certainly weren’t radical Muslims, just looking at the way the daughter dressed in videos and in Facebook images.
something sure dont seem right here.....and this getting cancer deal? I hope whatever is going on the girl is not being harmed
I join in earnest prayer for Rifqa!
