The Rasmussen Reports daily Presidential Tracking Poll for Monday shows that 25% of the nation's voters Strongly Approve of the way that Barack Obama is performing his role as president. Forty-three percent (43%) Strongly Disapprove, giving Obama a Presidential Approval Index rating of -18 (see trends). Following passage of health care, enthusiasm for the president among Democrats soared. Today, however, just 49% of Democrats Strongly Approve of Obamas performance. Thats down from a high of 65%. It remains to be seen whether this is a temporary aberration or the beginning of a lasting change.

If this sorry excuse for a human can still get a 44% approval rating, then America is still in big trouble.
It’s THAT high??
Trend is likely to continue after the saber rattling about N Korea and the way he has failed to solve the oil spill crisis.... even the loyal leftists have to be getting impatient. (JMHO)
Who the hell is the 44%? Union membership is dropping, not increasing.
PRIVATE unions decreasing. PUBLIC unions rising steadily.....
Those 44 percenters are the fully Socialized Americans. They’ll believe anything you tell them as long as it makes them feel good!
A lot of them must be people like my mother. She informed me the other day that Zero is doing a great job and all of these problems are those he inherited from Bush, and not of his own doing.
She was not interested in discussing it. I think she gets her news from t.v. That limits discussions because all she can do is parrot sound bites.
What worries me is how many people there are who are completely oblivious to what is going on. They don’t care. They work, they watch t.v. and believe what they hear on the news, they sleep, and then they get up and do it again.
What I find interesting is the graph. The approval trend is down, but there have been spikes, such as when HC was passed. Nonetheless, no news items have positively impacted his trend. It appears that the loons on the left don’t like his response to the oil spill and his numbers continue to fall.
Was at a store and a woman was on her cell talking loudly about how she got approval to use “stimulus” money to keep her from losing her home... she will pay $245 a month house payment until 2035.
I’m sure she will always vote for oBozo.
Government jobs are increasing.
Yeah, it's frustrating, especially when the conversation ends abruptly. As the economy continues to not recover, there will be even fewer people engaged in the cycle you highlighted since they will not be working. When the going gets tough, more people will vote with their wallet.
But ... but, if you ignore the rabid extreemists who have the Strong opinions (particularly on the right, since we *know* they all are), the people still favor Obama 19% to 12%.....
Perhaps the next poll should ask the following:
Do you approve of the job Obama is doing as President
Do you pay taxes?
True, but you got to remember that the 44% that approve include his 90%+ approval among black voters who will always approve of anything he does just because he's "one of us." If that was subtracted his approval would be more like 30%. Still too high, but basically the only people that approve of Obama outside the black community are the 30% of Americans that comprise the hard left.
What worries me is they vote.
wow, that 25% “strongly approve” is getting might close to the structural number of self-indentified Liberals. Below about 20% he’s going to be losing his hard-core left-wing base. Let it happen sooner rather than later!
Just have a category,
like they split out the Dem/Rep/Ind,
“Income tax payer or not”
Of course, a lot of folks in the “not” category don’t know they don’t pay income taxes.
The standing O for the Mexican won’t poll well.
A man first has to attend to important things before he can take care of secondary matters--like governing. It has proven to be so much more difficult than community organizing, campaigning, and propagandizing.
