Fox News Watch Cites FReeper Governsleast Item on Scarborough-Rand Paul-Maddow Flap
NewsBusters ^ | Mark Finkelstein

Posted on 05/22/2010 1:08:04 PM PDT by governsleastgovernsbest

On this weekend's Fox News Watch, panelist Jim Pinkerton cited FReeper governsleast's NewsBusters item in which Joe Scarborough passed along the comment from an unnamed conservative insider questioning "what the hell was [Rand Paul] doing on MSNBC?", a reference to Paul's appearance on the Rachel Maddow show in which he made comments on the 1964 Civil Rights Act that have caused controversy. The irony of course is that Scarborough is himself an MSNBC host. H/t NB reader Gat New York.

Pinkerton and fellow News Watch panelists got a chuckle out of governsleast's fond wish which concluded the item: "Oh to be an olive when Joe and Rachel sip martinis together at the MSNBC TGIF."

Is not is obvious? Rand Paul is a Rino in the ilk of McCain and Graham. He thinks he can suck up to the MSMediots and they will be his friends.

He likely confused MSMediots honoring his defection from the GOP on the War on Terror as them liking him personally. He probably thought the people at MS-NBC liked him and thought he is smart. So right after his big victory he goes on MS-NBC shoots off his Rino mouth and of course his “friends” at MS-NBC start slamming him.

Rinos always think they have friends among the MSMediots. Sometimes after the dust up like this the Rino seems to understand that the MSMediots are part of the enemy. But usually the Rino reverts. I want if this Rino will earn for good or quickly revert, if this does not cost him a Senate seat?

Then, based on her mistaken belief about Katie Couric and Tina Fey in 2008, Palin is too.

I think Palin under the control of a Rino’s campaign ie McCain certainly behaved like a Rino. That is one of the costs of accepting the VP slot.

So for that short time period Palin was forced to:

1. Support cap and trade

2. Support closing Gitmo

3. Act like the MSMediots would help that campaign. BTW, this is a perfect example of what I was talking about. McCain for a very short time after the NY Times attacked him during the campaign McCain was offended by them. But soon enough he was trying to suck up to them again. Right now Rand Paul is trying to play tough with the MSMediots but why should I think he wont revert ala McCain.

Now that Palin is a free woman again, how many of those positions do you think she really holds? And I have no problem with VP nominee being a team player that is their job.

Rand Paul is just another Rino. I believe in electing Rinos if they get the GOP nomination. You must accept them to get the majority.

On many issues I will agree with Rand Paul. Probably more issue than I agree with Collins or Snowe. Maybe about as many issues as I agree with McCain or L. Graham or even Brown. But this episode reminds us that Paul is just another Rino. He will not agree with the GOP position 100% of the time for sure, but no one does even me. He will spend some of his time sucking up to MSMediots and stabbing the GOP in the back. That is what really makes him a Rino.

Both of the major parties have changed so much in the past few decades (not to mention from when they were founded) that it is hard to determine what they really stand for. They each have a platform, but neither one seems to follow it. It seems that their only real goal is to stay in power or to get power.

Historically, the Democrats were formed in the early 19th century by anti-Federalists whose main goals were related to states rights and reducing the power of the Federal government. The Republican party was formed shortly before the civil war and their early issues concerned ending slavery, getting free land for people who wanted to move west, and getting the vote for women.

It seems to me like the parties both did a major flip.

When I vote, I look at each candidate individually and ignore their party. It does take a lot of work, but I look at it as hiring someone to run our government and I want to make sure we get someone who will do a great job.
rhino or not I think Rand can be a postive for us, don't you?

Personally I think the best thing we can do at this point is to identify all the of delegates nationwide and bombard them with enough information that they will finally be convinced Dr Paul is the only way to go. In my area I am going to try to identify all the state delegates, (there aren’t that many, only 114 I believe) and start sending them DVD’s and other literature like Aaron Russo’s film American Freedom to Fascism, Alex Jones’ Endgame, and the Hacking Democracy documentary. I think lots of these delegates have just been misled and brainwashed by the MSM and because there are so few of them we could effectively de-program them with a concentrated effort. Any opinions?
