Yep, the sunspot cycle is still pretty puny, so looks like there will be cooling for a little while longer.

Once the Liberals adopt this, the remedy for global cooling will be the same as for global warming.

We see a bit of irony in an early February report that 11, 115-foot-tall wind turbines installed to provide power to 11 Minnesota towns were not functioning because they couldn't handle the record cold temperatures of a harsh winter.Ah, irony can be lovely...

Its whatever works.
When you’re in the crisis business, and your solution is you, you, more power for you, and a magical money-laundering machine, any crisis will do. Global warming? Great. Global cooling? Brilliant. Global swarms of cicadas? Capital. Global lack of cicada swarms? It doesn’t matter. With a little money in the right places and a completely supine press corps you can sell ice to eskimos.

heck yeah. Bring on the cooling. I love cold weather the best. Easier hikes, more snow, mmmmm.....
Cold weather is, however, more harmful to humans.
It means less rain, CO2 is reduced(needed for plant life) and that all adds up to lower yields in farming and less arable land.
It also means less growing season as the cold and rain hang on, only the heartiest of crops can be produced such as potatoes and beans.
Crops that will be reduced with more cold are corn, wheat, hops, tomatoes, fruits. Basically, anything that loves sun will not grow or grow as hearty.
More sun and CO2= more vegetation. Think Amazon and Central America.
Still, I love the cold.

By 1100, a colony of about 3,000 was thriving there. But then came the Little Ice Age, and by 1400, average temperatures had declined by about 2.7 degrees Fahrenheit, and the advancing glaciers doomed the Viking colony in Greenland. The High Middle Ages, from 1000 to 1250 AD, was a time of prosperity, brought on by global warming (not caused by SUVs) and the bumper crops it created. This was followed by the Late Middle Ages, a more dismal time, caused by Little Ice Age.
Cooler temperatures do not support a large global population.

Don Easterbrook, emeritus professor of geology at Western Washington University, told the gathering. “However, the bad news is that global cooling is even more harmful....
From my alma mater, however I suspect he’s the only there who would admit this truth. The eco-freaks at Fairhaven college are probably storming his house right now.
