America's Ambassador to the United Nations has been a failure. Perhaps Susan Rice should spend less time career-climbing in DC, angling to replace Hillary Clinton (she has been "wildly inattentive" according to the non-partisan The Hill magazine) and more time doing her job.
Rice (and the US) was AWOL when it came to the vote to allow Libya onto the UN Human Rights Council; was AWOL in a Sec Council Resolution that condemned Israel (the first time such as Security Council resolution was not vetoed by America). She promised to reform the UN Human Rights Council when controversy arose from pro-Israel supporters over our joining the Council. But that promised reform has not happened either.

The list, ping
Susan Rice is a warmed over Clintonoid!
Uh huh......
BS!!!!
She was: AWOA, not AWOL.
Absent with Obama's approval
If “The Hill” is nonpartisan, then I am a card-carrying, free-to-be-you-and-me-hug-a-tree toe tag leftist.
This seems to be the Ambassador’s version of NObama’s always voting ‘Present” in the Illinois legislature.
She just does not show up...so there is neither a yes or no vote on the record.
Israel should be outraged over he non-vote concering anything about them.

I’ve thought several times that Rice is the most low profile, or no profile, US UN Ambassador ever. Never hear of anything she’s done, or any significant speeches, etc.
She completely fouled up US embassy activity in the Sudan in the mid-1990s and the attempt to arrest Osama Bin Laden.
I didn't know that, but knowing of Clinton's lack of interest in seeing Bin Laden captured, I can't help but wonder if she fouled it up intentionally (or under orders from on high).
Curiously, Rice hated Sudan President Bashir, but would do nothing to help overthrow his government or provide help for the southern Sudanese rebels in the long civil war. She recommended that we close the US embassy in Khartoum, and when we did, we were left blind for a long time. She was part of the Clinton group that spurned the Bin Laden exchange, but that foul-up was due more to Clinton cowardice than anything else.
[Frequently AWOL. “wildly inattentive”]
Another glittering jewel of Obama’s dip-lunatic record. Adding to research. [Links in profile.]
