FORT WORTH, Texas A Texas man with no military experience tricked the Army into letting him enter a reserve unit as a noncommissioned officer earlier this year, a deception that placed an untrained soldier in a leadership position in a time of war, an Associated Press investigation has found.
The revelation comes just months after the Army drew criticism for failing to flag the suspicious activities of the Army psychiatrist now charged with killing 13 and wounding dozens of others at Fort Hood.

Bush’s fault.
...what I can’t understand is how did he get paid?....SS number?...
Islamo-marxist kenyan faked his way into the white hut.
dang, you beat me to it
Good point.
At least the Army takes orders. Just wait until civilian government employees are responsible for our healthcare records!
..maybe I forgot, has any Generals or high up in the military been held responsible for Ft Hood yet?...or is it still being held under wraps?
So what? America elected an enemy officer as commander in chief.
It's the Chicago way or no way.
Exactly right . Could not happen in the company of any First Sergeant I ever had .
And we must see to it that this never happens again. It was high powers that conceived and masterminded this charade.
We don't really know who Obama is because we have only been shown what the Dems and whoever want us to see. Treason and sedition abound in the Democratic party and they must be punished even if it means jail!
It’s been done before in the US. This guy isn’t the first, and probably won’t be the last.
The public is controlled by the 5 TV networks control 95% of the channels on cable & sat TV. Fox is one of them and they have at least 10% Saudi ownership.
Until the public (conservatives) cancel enmasse then we are controlled by the elites. Repubs standing up to them? TV can destroy any Repub with guts in a day.
People care more about if their team won some meaningless ball game on TV more than they care about freedom and liberty.
This article says he received a security clearance but it doesn’t elaborate. Not everyone in the military automatically gets a security clearance. It also quotes his ex-wife as saying they both dreamed of being aviators. At the rank of sergeant? Are flight crew considered aviators?
As for the congressional action in 2005 it just occurred to me why that act concerns false decorations and medals. At that time several politicians had been caught lieing about where they served but had made no claims about decorations or medals. They covered their asses as usual.
Is it “stolen valor” if he actually served?
I remember a story about a 15 year old kid in Houston in 1970 who faked his way into the Army. He was a large kid and the story is he stole a sergeant’s uniform and went in and actually ended up in Viet Nam before he was found out. The army said he was a good soldier and they’d love to have him but they’d appreciate it if he’d wait a few years.
Ferdinand Waldo Demarra, Not only did he pose a Doctor in the Canadian Navy, he also assumed many other identities.
One of my “folk heroes”, like the gang that robbed the vault in a French bank, by going through the sewers. Name of the book is “Fric Frac”
