Irate with a reporter's question on the effectiveness of the city's handgun ban, Chicago Mayor Richard Daley offered to give a first-hand lesson following the shooting of an off-duty police officer.

Oh, it's been very effective," Daley said, according to MyFoxChicago.com. "If I put this up your butt, you'll find out how effective it is. If I put a round up your … you'll know."

Is that a bad thing????? Maybe the answer is give them a bunch of guns and let all the bad guys there kill each other. This mayor sure hasn't been able to put a dent in “Murder Central”.
Chicago has been an organized criminal activity since prohibiyion, and that is the city government. They are now into the third or fourth generation of criminal family values, and that is in the mayors office.
I have some news for you Chicago, the rest of this country values our constitution. You are living in the thug/criminal situation that you folks constructed for yourselves. Maybe that new wall they are building needs to extend to surround “Thug City.”

That is how I see it. If I held one of my rifles in my hand, looked at somebody in front of a bunch of witnesses and said “If I put this up your—ha!—your butt—ha ha!—you’ll find out how effective this is!” or “If I put a round up your—ha ha!”, I would expect to have the police stop by and arrest me for brandishing a firearm, making terroristic threats, threatening bodily harm or any of a slew of charges. Why does the Mayor get a pass for it when normal people would not?

Love that pic. My dad was a gunsmith in Joliet during that time. He had a Chicago policeman bring him 4 Thompsons the next day to service. Same Chicago policeman picked them up and paid him $5 cash for each gun. That was a lot of money in those days.

Dad said he knew where the guns (and money) came from but that he never had anybody but a policeman bring the guns in for cleaning and servicing.
