From ABC News...

"McCain was supportive of the Dream Act in the past... we saw him as a champion in some ways, and we hope that comes back," said Abdollahi.
Now the next paragraph is the money paragraph and I certainly hope Arizona voters are paying attention. McCain has been on all sides of this issue and now that he is facing reelection he is trying to convince voters that he will protect the borders. Let's see what he says when under pressure from the left.
A McCain spokesperson told ABC News the senator will support the so-called "Dream Act" as part of comprehensive immigration legislation but only after the Southwest border with Mexico is "secured."

Please. Just admit it.
‘sell-out’
Jeez, what a loser.
Folks, we have a
W I N N E R !!!!
Like I said before, he will be a conservative until he is re-elected and then he is John “the RINO” McCain again.
His internals must be damning.
Two words.
1. Catapult
2. Deportation
Okay, okay, if you want to compromise, I’ll settle for one of the two points I posted.
” She cannot be held accountable for a question she has not been asked. “
Ordinarily, I would agree, Onyx. But she has parsed so many times, that I don’t trust her on this at all.
Considering how Brett Baier went after Obama, he’s the only one I’d trust to really force a specific answer- of anyone!
You are probably right about Brett. He is a sharp guy.
I do NOT want *this* congress to address ilegal immigration.
“I do NOT want *this* congress to address ilegal immigration.”
H E L L NO !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
Well, that’s what all the talk is leading up to.
I just watched a short part of the video that’s posted - the democrats gave Calderon a standing ovation!

We already have a pathway to citizenship- the same one legal immigrants have followed for years.
My idea? If illegals want to become legal, go back home, wait out the penalty period for being legal- 2-5 years for every year you were here illegally, then apply for citizenship like everyone else. You may or may not be approved. If approved, you pay a $2000 fine for every year you were here illegally, maxed out at $20k. All collected monies would go into a trust, and returned to taxpayers in their income taxes. When approved for citizenship, you are on probation for a min. of 3 years, maximum of 7. During that time, any felony crime and conviction is grounds for automatic deportation and put on a forever banned list for ever being allowed in the country again.
Forgot to add: Part of your probation period will be *required* English class. If you fail to attend these classes, or do not achieve a passing grade, it will be seen as a violation of the probationary period, and you will be deported permanently. Yes, that means no more picture icons on fast food registers.
” the democrats gave Calderon a standing ovation! “
That’s rich.
Calderon jails and even TORTURES illegal immigrants....that is, after they steal whatever money the poor schmuck is carrying.
The Democrats to me are worse than the KGB and politboro was in the 1980’s.
God bless you!!
AND it is fair.
was = were ;-)
Oh, and you don't want to know the penalties for those who harbor illegals.
